I can say that I wish you a good game injury free so we can have a great week 17 match-up. God, I hate Peyton Manning.

Thankfully it is sorting itself out

I think TN BUTCHERS KC via CJ.
SD’s best shot at a loss to help us is today against the Bungles, damnit Cincy, get your shit together and pull this one out of that hat would ya!
That just leaves The Nation VS Peyton, which honestly I feel much better about this week than early in the season. 18 isnt having a great year, injuries to his targets, getting pressured more than prior years it seems, he had a real shitty stretch a few weeks ago, if we can continue to generate pass rush I feel good about our chances, if he has time he will cut us apart at the week spots (routt for sure), addai can be a beast if healthy, will take another great defensive effort but not impossible. Offesnsively we are going to have to run with conviction and efficiency, use quick play action passing and screens to take pressure off Mario on the RT and Jared at LT having to of the best in Freeney and Mathis, this is honestly my biggest concern, can our huge tackles keep up with their speed?

I have 4 tickets to WK 17 in KC and am so ready for that showdown, GO TITANS! GO BENGALS! And most importantly, GO RAIDERS! NO MERCY!

we wont shut him down. but we can limit his damage and make him human.

I notice the same thing here when the raiders are on the road and the 49er game is on…it usually appears that there are lots iof empty seats, but they are still showing the game (So I am guessing that TV is buying the extra tix in SF)…Im not sure I understand why the same thing doesnt happen with the Raiders…

Titans punting ...

They can’t do shit against KC’s defense, and KC’s offense is cutting them up like a hot knife through butter.

Well … we knew that Jacksonville game was must win, and we didn’t win. It’s that simple at this point. That was the season two weeks ago, since then our hopes have been slim, and now they’re none.

Now I hope SD wins today so that at least we have a chance of knocking out KC in the last game. We are now officially reduced to spoilers.

Unlucky Raiders

Anybody realize that we faced the Titans, Texans, and Jaguars when they were all at their best psychologically.

The Titans were incredibly pumped for their opener, had high hopes for a big season. Now they are heartless and in complete disarray—an awful team.

The Texans early in the season had destroyed the Colts in their opener and were a hot pick to make the playoffs. They had complete confidence when we played them.

The Jaguars, a horrible early season team, were at their peak in terms of confidence and emotion when we played them at home.

Look, that’s our tough luck, and the truth is we just needed to beat the Cardinals, Niners, or Jaguars to control our own destiny, but it sucks that we played these three teams when we did.

A PLAYOFF CALIBER.

Titans are not. We have. We beat YOU GUYS TWICE, and the CHARGERS TWCE.

I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP

not as certain I'm afraid. It was something like 30 yards. Can't remember.

But he shanked. yeah, coulda. woulda, shoulda.

Regarding the dwayne bowe drop, you guys would have had a better chance against the colts, but you wouldn’t know how Manning would do from there. He is great in pressure situations usually.

But if Jano made the field goal, we would have won. For certain(because it was last second).

Im not talking about the Colts game, I am talking about the game in OAK

and if you think a 6 yard completion is harder than a 30 yard FG, we have nothing more to discuss.

Regarding our losses, we lost games like all teams have. several of which we could have easily won including Oak, Hou, Ind,

by la flama blanca on Dec 26, 2010 12:30 PM PST up reply actions

You are right.

so you have beaten the chargers, lost the second one because you did not have your starting QB.

We beat them twice, and ended their hot streak(no small feat, again), and we beat you guys once. yes, Bowe dropped it, but we had to come back, and win as well. And we kept your running game in check.

And Jags beat teams with a combined record where more than half of the games were losses. They are kind of a fluke team.

Also, it was the first game. Even as a pats fan as well, I discount the pats first game, because that has no bearing really on how the team is this year. Not trying to say that your win wasn’t legit, just saying that the chargers of now, are very different from the chargers of then. Like the raiders. The raiders of now, are a lot better than the beginning of the season. Same as your chiefs.

Was just saying that you guys haven’t beaten playoff caliber teams. You did beat the chargers with the first game of the season, but you seemed to agree that games earlier in the season do not account to how the team is later in the season.

Not saying your team sucks. Just saying that you haven’t done anything entirely special. You guys have improved, same as us. I just don’t think you guys are who you are making yourselves out to be. I am so far not convinced that you guys are good enough to face the playoff teams yet(and for the record, I don’t think the raiders are good enough yet for the playoffs either).

We had a QB flux situation

and I am sure you know what happens when your backup QB comes in. Only difference is, is that our STARTING Qb was his first season with us, and he sucked in the beginning. We had NO QB with us really.

And we were supposed to win that game, by a simple 25-30 yard field goal.

YOu say a loss is a loss, so a win is a win. Even if you dominated Arizona, we could have beat them as well, easily. Jano screwed up.

Down by 8, 2 mins left, StL with the ball … game over.

The absolute worst possible outcome of the day has been avoided.

At least it has been a decent year with us snapping a lot of bad streaks that we had going for us. We should have won the Arizona, Miami, San Francisco, and Jacksonville games and we would have been in the play-offs!!! Let’s hope we improve next year instead of regress.

Congrats. You’ll get bumped out almost right away, and don’t even act like you don’t know that. It’ll be even funnier when Oakland whoops your ass for a 2nd time at your house, showing everyone Oakland is the best in the West, and KC just had an easier 2nd half schedule. But enjoy it….while it lasts.

I didn't know you were clairvoyant!

Do you know who’s going to win the Super Bowl as well?

I eat nails for breakfast, tacks for snacks, and I sh*t nickel.

I love the reasoning.

Lost more games, no playoffs yet still the best in the west. Way to fly under the radar ;)

Also, we will win at least one playoff game in the wildcard round. I would tell you how lights out we play at home against the road but sadly, you would disregard it. Raiders are indeed the best! I just hope we stay out of the playoffs next year, not win half our games so we can be the best too!
