Hello Silver and Black Pride! It's almost over, but the 2010 season has been nothing if not full of surprises. Some good, some not so good. I know Raiders fans are disappointed to a degree, yet encouraged as well by the improved showing of the Raiders this year, and make no mistake, the Raiders are an AFC West team on the rise. With McFadden, Ford and others, Oakland is a team to be reckoned with.
The Chiefs are also a team on the rise, and have risen faster and further than nearly any Chiefs fan had dared hope. With the division and playoff berth clinched, the only thing left to decide for the Chiefs is playoff seeding, will they be #3 or #4? A win against the Raiders locks up the #3 seed and a home game against (miost likely) the Jets. A loss, coupled with a win by the Colts, and the Chiefs fall to the #4 seed and a likely matchup against the Ravens.
The other thing to be decided is: will the Raiders become the first AFC West team to sweep the division? The Raiders have, so far, done the unthinkable and stand at 5-0 against the Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos. A win Sunday on the road would be an interesting talking point, at least, for the next few months.
Have some questions about the Chiefs? Fire at will, and looking forward to a fun, hard-fought game next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. May the best team win!
