You can not tell me that Darren Mcfadden was not one of the top 3 running backs in the AFC. I don't even know if you could convince me that he was not one of the top 3 in the whole damn NFL. It is absolutely ridiculous that he did not make the regular Pro Bowl team. If there was one thing absolutely sure in this season, it was that Darren Mcfadden emerged as a no question Pro Bowler. I thought we had that covered! It should be freaking obvious that he should be at the Pro Bowl. Run DMC has had the 4th most rushing yards EVER for the Raiders. I'm pretty sure the Raiders have been around a pretty long time so I think that is pretty impressive. I guess having 1157 Rushing yards while still having one game to go isn't enough now a days. Neither is having 7 rushing touchdowns and 3 receiving touchdowns. Oh don't forget, 47 receptions for 507 yards means absolutely nothing. Its an absolute travesty that Darren Mcfadden only gets to go to the Pro Bowl if somebody else doesn't want the honor. Pathetic. We should have had the first RB since my idol Marcus Allen to wear a Raiders helmet in the Pro Bowl. Its bad enough you screwed Napolean Kaufman from ever getting one, but you take this year away from Mcfadden? Absurd!
That is not even mentioning leaving out the leading point scorer across the entire NFL. Sebastian Janikowski is 4 of 7 from 50 yards and out this season. He has only missed one field goal from less than 40 yards all season. I will admit missing 4 40+ yard field goals is a bit of a negative, but he still made 8 out of 12. Making 32 out of 40 on the year is very good. He made 80 percent of his field goals. No your right pro bowl voters, that is by no means worthy of a Pro Bowl vote. Not at all really, Billy Cundiff nomad extraordinaire kicker deserves it over you Seabass. After all if you were any good the media would take notice of you. Just ask Darren Mcfadden.
At least Nnamdi Asomugha, Richard Seymour, and Shane Lechler all got starting nods. They were more than deserving of that, so it is nice to see some of them get recognized. Nnamdi they do not even attempt to throw at most games. He recently just held Reggie Wayne to only 40 yards receiving, and that is tough to do. Richard Seymour speaks for himself I think, having had brought the winning attitude to our Raiders. There has been a very noticeable difference in our teams persona since bringing him in, as long as we sign up for a few more years I believe him to be worth the 1st round pick we are about to give up for him. Shane Lechler has consistently been the top punter in the NFL for a long time. I have not had the pleasure of seeing a better punter than Shane in all of my 25 years of age. Nor do I want to, unless that player is the punter we have directly after Master Shane decides to retire.
Last but definitely not least, I speak of Tommy Kelly and Zach Miller. Both I believe deserving of the Alternate title. It is still an honor to be named a Pro Bowl alternate, even for both Mcfadden and Seabass who deserved more than that. I think Zach Miller could have been the starter had injuries not taken their tole on his season. As we can see he seems to be healthy now, but missing or playing at well below 100% doomed his Pro Bowl starter status. Nice to still see him get the Alternate label though because he did have an amazing first half of the year. Tommy Kelly also has been solid all year for us, but I think letting Jacksonville run all day on us probably hurt his chances a little. I know Jacksonville was great, but a pro bowl tackle clogs some of those running lanes a little more often then Kelly did. I am so angry about Mcfadden and Janikowski not making it though. Aaron Rodgers I think was the biggest snub by either side, but Darren Mcfadden being a Pro Bowl Alternate is a very close second. It is a Low Down Dirty Shame for him not to have made it straight up. He does not deserve to have to wait to see if somebody else can't go to get to go after a season like he has had. I think even Keenan Ivory Wayans would agree, that it is a Low Down Dirty Shame!
