Sacbee's Paul Gutierrez has this guy among those we "might take," in this year's draft: Dexter McCluster
Trying to figure out the tools here, but lost a bunch of info doing it! Oh well, here goes again.

McCluster and McFadden
I loved watching Dexter McCluster at Mississippi because he was so dynamic; however, we already have a guy like him and his name is Darren McFadden. McCluster is in the same mold. He can impact a game as a receiver out of the backfield and in the return game just like McFadden can. The problem is, we have yet to use McFadden to his potential. We wouldn’t use McCluster to his potential and we already have McFadden, so I wouldn’t even look his way in the draft.

Yeah. I'm preparing myself for the chances Al is enamored by speed again
and trying to find positives in case it happens. You’re right about him as an offensive weapon and DMac, but he’d create some other problems with his size and instincts. Immediate return impact though, and we could use a special teamer just for returning. As long as it doesn’t cost too high a pick, I won’t be too upset about this.

if it happens, that is, of course...
the preparing thing…

How big is he?
Is he a Chris Johnson mold? Or DMC?
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Neither
McCluster is really, really small.

i'd say
more in the mold of darren sproles. not THAT small, but very fast, but the difference is is that mccluster seems to have more vision while sproles has more quickness.

I kinda like that
If McFadden doesn’t pan out well, and this guy shows a spark on KR/PR. Who Knows? Maybe he can be a better complement to Bush. But, With Jackson at OC, I have a feeling McFadden MIGHT have a good season

Yeah. He's 5'8", 170
Super small by NFL standards, but exciting nonetheless. It’ll be interesting to see where he gets taken this year.

52nd overall in the late 2nd, by NFLdraftscout.com
here’s a link I tried to attach to that post:

I think certain teams needs and his recent attention as a “home run hitter” have him rising in the draft, but you never know with the size thing. I believe he’d be a steal in the late rounds, but wouldn’t want to see anything in our top 5 picks go on any running back. The return prospects make it very attractive.

repped 20 x 220 yesterday - pound for pound he's probably the strongest man in Indianapolis
I love watching him run.

Very exciting prospect. Didn't run as fast a time as I expected, but it doesn't change my mind about his elusiveness whatsoever
I would love to get this kid, but not where they’re projecting him. If he somehow fell to our fifth pick, I’d be elated. His return ability alone would give us at least 3 touchdowns. Reminds me of the little dude the Chiefs used to have with the short legs; can’t remember his name right now. You guys know who I mean. Played a little receiver too.

yeah. I remembered it right now
and put it in another post, but thanks! I knew everyone here would know who I meant.

Hes only the greatest
KR and PR to exist. Its sad to see how bad the kid from Chicago fell off. I think switchin him to WR almost cursed him
