Will the Next MLB Please Stand Up
Judging by Rated R's post and poll it appears that the popular sentiment is that the Raiders are not going to use their first pick on a LB. In light of Sons of Blanda's research, which showed us that only two LB's have ever been drafted in the first round by the Raiders, I think this is a good assumption.
Returning starter Kirk Morrison was only offered a 3rd round tender, which makes the possibility very real that another team may sign him. Given the fact that this tender was lower than the tenders offered to fellow LB's Ricky Brown and Thomas Howard, I don't think the Raiders are exactly counting on him being the starter next year.
So, who is it going to be?

Plus he can be had later giving us time to draft a top OT and DT.
Cable Bumaye! Raiders Bumaye!
dont get me wrong...
Angerer is my second to third with spikes but he IS small and is almost 50 lbs under this guy, and this guy is100% ripped, hes a killer, and at third or fourth round a steal. Check him out…we neeed a killer in themiddle to bring the pain.

since AL is good at stopping any progress, he seems like the best choice. just kidding, Angerer would be great.
The draft is soo confusing!
I wans Sean Weatherspoon on the team! But I love Kirk! So, I want to resign Kirk and Thomas and draft a LB giving us a scary, young and fast LB crew
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?
- Vince Lombardi
What about Trevor Scott
I want big ass Trevor Scott in the middle of the defense with morrison and Howard on the outside

Hmmm
Quick summary
Pros: Big, Thumper, Natural Leader
Cons: Injuries, Slow, Small School

If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?
- Vince Lombardi
cant deny...
This guy has a nose for the ball especially at and behind scrimmage, he’s the most pure lb in the draft write off small school, and speed? Come on we have the .fastest guys in the effing universe and we still suck

The small school thing only matters because
he plays lesser opponents while there. I dont really care much for speed either. We have to of the fastest LB’s in the league, that should compensate for Micahs lack of speed. I havent seen any tape, But Ill do my research, I want quickness. Not speed

he has great awareness, a nose for the ball, he's smart, and he is strong.
injuries won’t be a problem(or shouldn’t be), and speed is not a concern. He is a great MLB. don’t write off the guy yet.
plenty video of him doing dirty work, if only we get him
The guy has a homing device in the ball or SOMETHING!!!

I just don't like his tackling...
Seems to over pursue (a current problem). Haven’t been able to see him in coverage as all the tape shy’s away from that. The scouting reports say he has a problem with consistency.
Cable Bumaye! Raiders Bumaye!
like i said...
wrapping guys up with both arms is something that can be taught to anyone but shawne merriman, although when u see this guy barely touch someone and they go down it says.alot about his understanding. He has what great linebackers are made of

Seems slow but can shoot the gap where RB is coming from and stop him dead.
But if the RB reaches the second level open field he can get juked or just burned with speed. Strong enugh to take down all types of RB, great vision. (judging form u tube vid.) 08’ highlights though…. here
The RaiderLaker
Hmmm, Trevor has an itch for
getting at the QB though, he wont be able to do that from the ILB spot. Trevor should remain at the elephant/hybrid spot. Pure pass rusher, either have his hand down or put him at OLB in a 4-3 under scheme
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

I Just
want a LB like remix (rolando mcclain) n switch to a 3-4 or not, he work with both. mcclain and morrison in the middle(oakland native) and trevor scott plus howard on the outside(use that speed to get back ther and great in coverage already)… then draft a DT (heavy guy),CB,OT and maybe a rookie quarter back or get Derrick Anderson.. n i would take jacoby ford just not at #8 pick…
With the release of Gerard Warren
this all means the best option is to trade down. The draft is rich with alot of O-line depth this year. This team needs to look at the positions of substance more than they have in previous drafts. Trade down and I know there are several ILB prospects in the late 1st rd to early 3rd rd. Also Todd McShay mentioned about 10-12 DT prospects worthy of a possible 1st rd selection. Al is not doing anything in free agency (which is a good thing BTW) so he needs to address the draft as intensly as he ever has in a very long time.
Looking for some insight on Kirk Morrison
As a Giant fan and a member of big blue view I was wondering if any one could offer some insight on Kirk Morrison, I hear good things about him but I have never seen him play. Does anyone think he would he be a good fit for the Giants and is he worth a third round pick? Any insight would be greatly appreciated
