The Respect of our team is going down the Drain - and We're to Blame.

There is no way to know if those signing the petition are real Raider Fans or Raider Haters that are getting a kick out of this. My guess is the bulk of the petition is not Raider Fans but Raider Haters.

It is a shame to see the younger generation of Raider Fan. We were one of a kind for many a year good times or bad. Just as a team finds out about it's character during bad and rough times so does a Fan base. With so called fans like these who needs enemies.

These new so called Raider Fans are nothing more than punks to me and my hope is that the 49ers start winning again so they head back across the Bay Bridge. This dude is nothing more than a clown and cares nothing for the Raiders. It is all about getting his name out there. The funny thing is how stupid this cat is, I know 3 guys that are not Raider Fans that told me they signed the petition and are loving every minute of it.

Raider Fans my &^%, these guys look way to much like the other ^%$ fan bases around the NFL and being a member of Raider Nation for many a year that supports my team with owning season tickets and attending the games I do not claim them as my own and call them all out as the PUNKS THAT THEY ARE.

Now, I do disagree with the season tickets and atending games; nobody wants to see a losing team, honestly.  BUT...No respect is shown for Al these days, and no respect is shown for this TEAM.  I mean, EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME The Raiders are addressed on NFL Network, WHY THE HELL DO ALL OF THE SPORTSWRITERS THERE LAUGH?? It's like we're the laughingstock of the NFL now.  The Bills did the same damn thing, however nobody except AFC East fans are poking fun.  In fact, when somebody wrote a hateful message on Leodis McKelvin's lawn, Bills fans stopped there.  Instead, all the hell I see people do is hope for the day that Al leaves - and we all know the only way he's leaving: if he is critically ill, or in a casket.  This needs to stop.

I ask, where are the TRUE Raider Fans?  Because only true Raider Fans have enough RESPECT not to call for Al's Head...yes..his head.  I don't see the Rams or the Bucs or the Lions, or Cleveland, or KC complaining as much as I see here.

Just something your own Analyzer From Home is seeing every day.

a good post

The problem is compounded by the fact that Al stays mum…

They wanna get a statement for Jesus sake
It’s like talking to the wall
He’s incommunicado no comment to make
He’s saying nothing at all

We are to blame?

Hey FYI! We pay the bills around here buying merchandise, tickets and every other f’ing thing that Al can dream up to sell to use in order to pay for his pipe dream picks and stubborn signings of FAs. I will agree we should not show eagerness for Al’s demise (death or otherwise). However the fans need to show their displeasure of the way the team is being managed. I was reading an article on Yahoo Sports and he summed it up quite nicely. The Raiders over the past few years have made some picks and signed some players that make it so easy to pick “the low hanging fruit you cant resist put to take advantage”.
We have so much greatness in our history. If the stubborn SOB would take some REAL advice from IMPARTIAL people and make some SANE choices the respect would be there.

Win at all costs! Winning ugly is still winning! Remember the past and what got us to the top before. Jim Plunkett and winning ugly......enough said!

The Raider Organization has become parody

They are the one’s to blame for their horrible decision making. The fact that we still stand behind them at some level is somewhat surprising. I don’t want to see the team lose, but this team keeps doing the same stupid stuff. Until he turns this thing around, Al Davis can no longer be considered a good judge of talent on the field or in coaching. It’s sad to watch Al Davis turn his legacy into a joke, but he and he alone takes that blame.

Screw this dude. I think the billboards are lame, but I was tempted at least once to sign the petition

But there’s no doubt the disrespect this team garners comes from Ls and lack of Ws. It has nothing to do with the best, most loyal fans in the world. Their downfall is that they think their efforts will actually help, when in reality it probably makes Al want to say “fuck you” to them even more, and ignore their requests.

I wonder

how Al will react if we all start praising every single decision he makes. The guy thrives on rebellion.

THe guy

doesn’t care about our opinions at all. He never has, and never will.

True that, but he does what he thinks is best for Oakland

Theres a reason hes the most known figure in Oaklands history. Yeah, Hes fallen behind in the last decade. He does some stupid shit alot, but hes also made this the most proud organzation in the History of the league. We’ll rise up again, and Al will die( Cause we all know he’ll never retire) on top

I would never wish for anyones death

When he does pass, I may tear up. Only a little though, Then just blame it on my contacts :) But, He is the father of Oakland. And losing him is gonna be a sad sad day in the NFL world. Thats why I am really hoping we can give him one more trophy, that way he can pass “on top”

Al "the father of Oakland"

I’ve never heard this one:)

Yes, it will be sad day in the NFL – who are people going to poke fun at when Al is gone? Whose scarecrow pictures are they going to post? Who will they blame when the Raiders lose a game? jk

by Spirals galore on Mar 12, 2010 6:34 AM PST up reply actions

I signed the petition

because I’ve us fall too far based on one man’s hubris. Al Davis is one of the all-time greats when it comes to talent evaluation, but his time has passed. Things have changed on the NFL landscape and he hasn’t adjusted his philosophy to account for it. The last great teams in Silver and Black were built in a departure from his ideals, and they were built by Bruce Allen and Jon Gruden. His way has turned his once proud franchise, and once the marquee franchise in the league, into a laughingstock that gets mentioned with the Detroit Lions. It’s time for a change.

I still root for the Raiders, and I still proudly wear my Silver and Black, and I do so in the home of the Raiders biggest rivals, Kansas City. I will remain loyal, but I can’t recall ever being so frustrated with the direction the franchise is going.

A voice of insight and clarity from the high rockies - j-man, you're the wise man. We are loaded with talent that has been

hamstrung by buffoonery and indecisive leadership – our coaching last year was putrid – and the leadership came very late in players like Gradkowski, the twin receiving duo – Shillens & Murphy – the young bucks – Shaughnessy, Bryant, Scott, Branch, Huff, and Richardson. I don’t know what tangible evidence can be made for the veteran players: Seymour, Kelly, Morrison, and Ellis – but observed how these vets were eclipsed by the younger players as the season wore on. As for team preparation and motivation – you are so right with your statement about “not [playing] down to [the level of our] competition”; the fact is our coaches betrayed us with their timidness and stupidity. I won’t mention the failure to run Bush or use McFadden properly, nor will I bring up the ridiculous complexities of the ZBS that not only do not match our personnel but are orchestrated by someone incapable of double-digits on the Wonderlic.

I hardly think that we are to blame

just because some discontented Raider fans and a few Haters put up a billboard that asks Al to do what every other team in the NFL is doing and hire a GM. I think we can all agree that its a good idea. Back when the Raiders were good we had GMs and others around Al and ideas were kicked around and discussed. Now Al is all by himself and the results speak for themselves.
The Respect of this team has been down long before the Billboard went up

Far away your home & your country everybody knows

that the big Al, is messing somethings here.. i love him but I disagree with him, he is the creator of the dream but now he cannot find the right formula… cause he stills searching in 1983!!!! … I have 36 years, I LOVE RAIDERS DEEPLY… but I must accept one simple thing: the best years were when we was having something near to Al!!! (I mean “best years”= wins! cause be a Raiders fan always is the best thing!!!)& now he´s with Amy & Herrera!!! including with LoCasale we were in good hands… pointing things is not makin us a traitors!!!!!!!!!!!!

NFLAnalizerfromhome: Including in Mexico (where we love THE OAKLAND RAIDERS) EVERYBODY KNOWS Al, OUR beloved, admired, amazing, living legend BIG AL… is messing the things here…

Do you wanna prove this? since his alone:

Sapp, Buchanan, Zereoue, Walker, Mirer, jeremy, Warren, Culppeper, Mcown, Hall, Harris, Lelie, Hamilton, Clark, etc.etc… our free agents? c´mon!!!!!!!!!!!

Somebody, somehow must tell Big Al how big is his legacy… but you know? I know this is the year… I feel it, with White & Bugel I used to suffer too much ( to the tears really) & I was an always believer… & I´m still believing…

Cmon Guys…this is the Black & Silver!!! be pride & poise!!!!!! don´t give up…

From Mexico (& 1lt of sparkling german pink wine… f…i´m little drunk)… Mexicanpridenpoise,

Yes, Mexpnp, Cheers, and bottoms up! The likes of Wolf, Allen, LoCasale, are sorely missed

and it’s my sincere wish Al finds another person like them out there, and Herrera goes to hell!

It’s really what I’ve been hoping for for quite some years: that there are other personalities like them out there, that can bring back the magic formula. I don’t expect Allen to ever come back, but there must be another soul who can duplicate it again, and restore the Raiders to former dominance.

I wish I could write in Spanish… Since everyone responds to you in non-English, I’ll give it a try too:

MessageT Al is fucking ridiculous

THese guys don’t live here, yet they are planning on putting up stupid billboards all over the place. These things cost over 5k each, and they want to put up 100 of them? They’re going to spend 500k on billboards? Do something responsible with that money, donate it to the Oakland schools, or the Oakland childrens hospital.
