My Theory of Al Davis' Personel Moves

Now i am sure alot of you already think this is the case so in no way am i claiming this is ground breaking or ew but i though it might be a good cob=nverstaion starter ona sunday without football.

Al Davis in his head and heart believes that to succeed in the NFL it takes superior athletes not supperior footabll players. Why do u ask because you can not teach SPEED but u can teach soemoen to tackle or to watch film or to play his gap or run this or that route. But athleticsm is innate and must be accumulated on a team wide basis in order to win.

NOw to the question of why did terdell sand get a fat contract, why did routt get a high tender and other such contacts have been handed out over the years (ill ask for help if anyone would like add other examples) because if a man with an outstanding amount of athletic ability is not succeeding then it must be because he isnt motivated. And a big PAYDAY will get that man to produce for Mr. Davis on the field because he feels in some indebted to him for paying him big dollars when noe one else would.

Would Darius Heyward Bey have made as much money last year if the raiders had not picked him so high? NO

would Nnamdi Asomugha have made as much money in his rookie contract had Al not taken a chance? NO

Would Tommy Kelley have been at the time the highest paid DT in the BFL it not for AL? NO

the beuty of this type of thought is that it works just enough to convince him he is right and everyone else is wrong but it nevers works enough to be succesfull in terms of playoffs and superbowls.
