Report: Raiders will likely draft Bruce Campbell
I know we've all been hearing that for weeks now, but this doesn't come from some random mock drafter who has nothing but conjecture to go on. David White, though unfortunately switched from the Raiders to the 49ers beat, apparently has been informed by contacts he still maintains in Oakland that the Raiders (read: Al Davis) are firming up their decision to make Maryland offensive tackle Bruce Campbell the #8 overall draft pick in 9 days.
I know this is the "smokescreen" time of year, but White stresses (as best as he can within Twitter's 140 character limit) that this is good information and not the B.S. commonly shoveled about by clubs looking to distract from their real intentions. Is this truly good info? Who knows. But I thought I'd pass it along, since White is one of the few guys (Jerry McDonald and Steve Corkran being the other two) who was ever a reliable source of Raider info

Uh oh
Pretty easy to see this coming though

Well, plans can certainly change. We’ll see, though.

Thanks for the link,
however I am very skeptical of anyone who says they have Raiders info. Even if they are from reliable sources, Al will give his own people bogus info just to have it leaked.
Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast.
I hope Campbell is not the pick at 8

You know its going to happen.
He always does this. There are many sources saying last year he would take Darius “Hey, what’s a football?” Bey. The rest were saying he should take Crabtree. You know he geta hard-on for combine workouts & hope they stick. Oh well, another “project” here we come.
I don't recall these many sources....

White dosn't F**k around, I think this is legit, Al will pick Campbell. This will be our pick Thursday of next week...
(or Trent) hopefully Cable slaps some sense into Al.

What could go wrong?
A huge guy w/ motivation problems getting the most money he has ever seen in his life at one time, sounds like someone who would become extra motivated to kick ass!
Oh wait, this is a horrible idea.
If they do get Campbell, I hope they at least trade down.

Actual they say he's a workout warrior
He’s just raw

Fuck Me! Then twice on Sunday as this guy gets ripped up by every DE in the NFL!
I really really really really really really really really really hope this is just a rumour.
In Bruce We Trust
Wait and see
I know everyone is down on Campbell but if we pick him give him a shot to perform. If he is the motivated man that he displays and puts his head to the grindstone he may be a good pick. I am think Williams, Iupati and Okung are better with what we see but perhaps we will be pleasantly surprised.
I will give him a shot. He atleast seems to want to work at getting better unlike some of our other draftees in recent memory.

Do you remember the TE Dudley? Campbell is his reincarnation at OT. Campbell isn't lazy just a Klutz

UGH
Yes I remember Dudley and ALL of the timely drop passes when they were most needed. I think with hard work he can be a good T.

It's still not certain
…but it’s no surprise. Let’s just hope they are smart enough to take him with the 2nd and not the first pick.
Cable Bumaye! Raiders Bumaye!
Of all the people in the draft, he'd be the one voted
most likely to be our second AWOL in Tijuana during our last appearance at the Superbowl before Al Davis dies.
Of course we’ll take him.
