UDRFA FB Chane Moline - UCLA Signs With The Oakland Raiders

In what looks like another great pick-up the Oakland Raiders have added, Chane Moline, a Full Back that is a good receiver out of the backfield and scored 6 touchdowns last season at UCLA. He also handled the ball 227 times with only 2 fumbles, and those were both in 2006-07.

Last season he was voted Co-MVP of the Bruins, along with Brian Price and Rahim Moore. In one game, against Washington State, he scored 3 Touchdowns (On 3 Carries of 2 yards 6 yards and 16 yards) and his 6 Touchdowns on the season led the team.

Moline also has experience on Special Teams and at Half Back (He split time there last season). At 6' - 247, he is quite a load to bring down and he ran a 4.58 40. I love THIS PHOTO

This makes two nice fullback additions which is fantastic seeing that Oren O'Neal can't stay healthy and Luke Lawton is terrible in pass protection.

Nice move boys, who is next?

No doubtt! If they disappeared today we would be worse. But I expect to see an upgrade from Kelly (what makes you like him?)

And Seymour costs us $12.4 / yr and, based on last year, doesn’t rate that pay-grade (don’t GaS about what he did 5 years ago, cf. Thomlinson. But, I do expect Rich to play better this season for 3 reasons: help on the line will free him more, he probably is really beginning to believe we have a competitive team, and he knows that his career probably remains here.

I am wondering if it isn't Seymour that is going to Washington for Haynesworth?

Kelly plays real strong when his counter-part does so as well.

But that was hard when he had Warren next to him, who always took off plays. Making Kelly look inconsistent.

FB

This is good. I was concerned about the FB position.

Good move

I was also concerned about the running back position, particularly at full back.
I watched the Tulane runner we picked up as a free agent, his style of running doesn’t impress me. The Raiders cannot go into the season with only Bush and McFadden. You know that your runners are going to get hurt so you need a third runner, I think Moline is a better fit than the Tulane runner we picked up. Hue Jackson had some big runners in Baltimore which really moved the ball, am sure he is looking for that kind of guy in Oakland. I love Bush, and hope he really gets a chance here. Watching the highlights of Jason Campbell, it is clear that he throws a nice out pass which should free McFadden up to do what he does best, run to the outside. Let Bush pound inside the tackles. Sounds like Moline could do that also.

I am looking forward to seeing Ford and DHB split on opposite ends with Ford in the slot

ROFL!

More like Schillens and Murphy on Opposite ends, and DHB and Ford and the rest earning their way on the field in “some” situations. Chaz and Murphy are clearly #1 and #2 as far a production and development so far.

Not impressed with him running hard on my Wazzu team

as Wazzu sucked hard, and has since Wulff has been coaching. I’m thinking him and Tonga replace O’neal and Lawton since Moral Oren can’t stay healthy and Lawton found Romo’s old steroid stash.
