Raiders Sign Rock Cartwright

According to Chick Hernandez of CSN Washington, the Raiders have signed RB/KR Rock Cartwright. Rotoworld does not expect Cartwright to compete for the 3rd RB spot, while Jerry McDonald stated that Cartwright could compete for the role.

You want players down the depth chart to be versitile enough to play special teams.

Frankly, about the only chance most drafts picks

have to make the team is on special teams. Other than McClain and possibly the tackle from Hillsdale, none of the draft picks will get more than spot duty and special teams.
It is possible that one of the undrafted FB could work themselves into a starting role, but other than that nothing but special team players.

I’d be suprised if he saw any action other than Special Teams..I mostly want Figurs and Ford returning

This is a fabulous signing. He’ll hunt down return men, can even be a return guy if needed, can play running back and can even play fullback. He may not doing anything great, but he can fill holes.
