heres my own opinion of the current situation. i say keep his dead weight if the raiders can afford it. but if we cant, then get rid of him. honestly... I was a fan of his before this mess... i admit, i was loyal to that draft pick. i just remember the damn BCS championship game thinking "man... i hope we get this guy"... and watching some of the guys we get rid of turn into serviceable players, it kinda makes me think "what if we didnt get rid of (fill in the blank)".
I know im gonna catch heat from S&BP, but i think we should try to restructure his contract and develop him, cause really, this is a kid with a ton of potential who hasnt matured yet. i mean, he wasnt dante hall or aaron brooks either. and i feel he isnt "ryan leaf" either (has he mistreated anyone?). for all i know he can be the next akili smith.
actually this would be his 3rd year in the league. some players go through the sophomore jinx and some dont. will guys give up on DHB, Bush or Dmac if they dont produce??? all im sayin is we keep him if we can restructure his contract but if he truly feels entitled then let the kid go and hope he doesnt make us eat crow.
