Now, please understand; this is all fairy tale. There are too many reasons it couldn't happen, 3 years left on Revis's contract being the primary. . . But we can dream, right?
Just a few moments ago, as I got home from work and prepared to medicate my cataracts, I heard an interesting bit of news from Revis Island. Apparently, according to Mr. Revis, his island is worth more than Nnamdi's Planet - By at least $0.50 ( and I belched an exasperated cough - Not quite, kid). But that got me thinking. . . What if Darth Raider himself, Emperor Davis, personally presented Darell Revis with a $100,000,000.50 check? Mr. Davis, mad as he may be, is still a genius. And if anyone can figure a way to get the top corners in the league on the same team, it is Mad Genius, Al Davis.
Of course, it'd have to be a pretty nice island to be worth more than a Planet. . . Yet, according to NFL analysts, the Raiders Over-pay, anyways, so why not? Heck, I think it'd be worth it. Oakland would go from "Top 10" defense, to "Ravens who? The. . . Jets? No, son, Oakland Raiders." With Revis on one side, and Nnamdi on the other, the defense could, essentially, stack 9 in the box and still be comfortable. What running game?
It'll never happen. Period. But what Raider fan can honestly say: Naah, Nnamdi is enough. Not this one! Can you think of the ramifications? The Raiders Defense would be a Round 1 Fantasy pick! Ha! Well, maybe 2nd, but Raider fans, in our pre-pre-season boredom, lets share our opnions on this "What If." What do you think having Revis and Nnamdi on the same team would bring to the Silver & Black Defense?
