Yeah La Jolla was great and I'm taking my drum to Mission Beach tomorrow, but damn, I saw more Raider emblems than San Diego emblems on all of the vehicles that I passed.
I have put on my bucket list, pissing on their stadium...Truly. This is NOT a football town. It is a beach town, and a beautiful one at that, but NOT a football town.
When I drove to Costco today I was driving down a road that had Charger emblems on every lightpost..."Litter" aly.
Then when I left Costco, I saw a Raider flag hanging in a window (I laughed to myself)... A FREAKING RAIDER FLAG!!!! I saw no Charger emblems or jerseys anywhere other than on the road to their stadium. Not on cars, not in windows, nowhere. Just a Raider sign in a truck window and one flying across the street from their stadium.
This town is a sad Football town and I think that THEY should get the new stadium in LA. Oops, sorry, that is a terrible football town too!!! Sorry LA Raider fans, but, the team failed in LA. Root for Oakland.
Say what you want about Oakland being a less than desirable CITY, I know this, when I drive through Oakland I see the Silver and Black at least 10 times. WE ARE A FOOTBALL CITY!!!
I have seen Purple and Gold on vehicles that were built for "Showtime" in San Diego, but NO Blue and Gold. NONE!!!
I guess that when you have Philip "Cry Me A" Rivers under Center, a bunch of wannabe fans, and the only contribution you have made to the NFL landscape is a wannabe, fake-ass Raider, "Air Coreal" offense then what would you root for? The America's Cup?
These pansies have won the Division for Years and their own fans don't fly their flags. Is it just the "Off-Season"? Are these fair weather September face painters just waiting until whale watching season is over to show that they bleed Charger "Powder" Blue?
Rediculous!!! Seriously, Nation, this cream puffed bunch of "Phans" doesn't deserve a team. Long live Raider Nation. We may have been in the basement for 7 years, but we BLEED silver and black and I am so happy that I can call myself a part of the Raider Nation. The Raiders are Oakland, and Oakland is the Raiders.
Our City supports our team, and we, as fans, fly the colors!!! Silver and Black till I die!!!
