Huff at Corner?
I was looking at my twitter feed and saw Michael Huff and Tyvonn Branch talking and that Huff wants to play CB and has a meeting with the bug man. Is that Al? And Branch said he'd be willing to go with him, I wonder if there joking around or serious? Branch seemed to take it lightly but than Huff said that him Nnam, Branch and Mitch wuld be great and we had a great front 7. I think he is serious.
I think it is a great idea since CJ is decent but not great, Routt is Routt and we only have rookies other wise, we would be able to get Mitch on the field more and maybe have a better run defense with him there more

No problem at all

I don't know...
I’ll see what happens in the pre-season, but I won’t get my hopes up about it the switch yet. I don’t know how good a corner he is.
I'm also a Raider Fan dammit!!! RAIDER NATION!!!!
Down with Big Brother!
he SHOULD spend some time at corner this year

I believe you are insightful on this one, dubzfan
I called this possiblity a while back, and it seems a natural transition on this team. He has a similar skill set to Nnamdi, and the circumstances seem all too familiar.
The obvious thing is this: he’s clearly better than Routt, and could absolutely give CJ a run for his money. we’re also logjammed at safety, and I want to see more of Mitchell and Branch together in the deep field.
I’m all for it. I believe the bug man could be Atkinson, with his bug eyes.

I'll go w/ yes
but maybe not a brilliant move. Possibly a “Yes, let’s give it a try”
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
honestly i just like that his ego is growing
hopefully his confidence will show on the field. but i can see a db tandem of cb- huff fs- branch ss- mike and cb- nam……that would be nice; i rather see CJ and huff at their respective positions

I've been saying that he should make the move for months possibly a year now.
If he does, then awesome…He has the height and tackling ability. He has good coverage too. So possibly it will work.
The only true wisdom consists in knowing that you know nothing.
I read an article that said he and Branch were both practicing at Corner to better grasp Man Coverage
…so this isn’t a very far-fetched idea imo. I don’t know if it’ll happen, and I hope Lil’ Walter can step up from now until the preseason to make the move unnecessary, but I think it could be beneficial to all involved.
I’d love to see Mitchell at SS and Branch kicking ass at FS. I would just hope Huff would be able to develop the way that Nnamdi did under his tutelage.
I'd defer to Nnamdi's opinion
on the who and the how for the backfield.
I’d like to know his opinion on how we could blend zone and man for long term strategy and short-term adjustments.
Huff to Corner?
Huff at Corner Texas has a habit of turning out multitalented safeties. Huff and Seattle’s 1st rounder Earl Thomas are great examples of that. That being said they are safeties 1st . That they have the skills to cover is an added bonus. Huff had what many consider a breakout year at FS last season and I’d like to see him solidify that position instead of transitioning to a position he hasn’t played much of since college. With Nmadi being one of the top two corners in the league. the other man gets alot of attention throw his way. If Huff gets beat early he could lose some of the confidence he gained last year. I’d much rather see us use a pure cover corner opposite Nmadi the Great. I love the fact that we have the depth in our secondary to even consider this move but I think it may be a little premature.
Being that he is one of our better cover guys
some versatility is needed even if it not every down. We also seem to have more depth at the safety postion than the corner position, so the need is higher. I like this move at least on a trial basis to see how it goes and I believe it can work.
