Silver & Black Pride Sits Down With LaMarr Houston 7-23-10:

Hey guys, just a heads up on some great things that we have cooking for this season.

The first of the planned additions is an interview with Oakland Raider Rookie Defensive Lineman, LaMarr Houston.

I will be interviewing LaMarr tomorrow at 1PM and  twice a week he will be doing a Training Camp Video Diary which will be featured on our site.

Raiderway also has a couple of surprises in store for this season as Silver and Black Pride looks to be the fancenric center of the Silver and Black Universe.

So, with that being said, is there anything that you wish to ask LaMarr when I interview him tomorrow?

Lamarr

Coming from the top rushing defense in the nation, do you think what you’ve seen of John Marshall’s defensive scheme so far has what it takes to be a force against opponent’s ground games?

it is known with the fanbase that you can get really aggressive in practice, what is your mindset coming in as a rookie? and is it part of your game to get under the skin of the opposition?

Success is not measuredby what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds...

lamarr,

what has been the hardest part of transitioning from college to the pros for you??

lamarr

there has been lots of talk about Hue Jackson’s “piss off the defense” strategy in minicamps. how has that helped the level of intensity and competition in camps? do you think this change will carry over to the level of intensity and competition in games week in and week out?

(btw please mention to nnamdi aso that i tried to add him on facebook and i sent requests to about 10 pages and none have added me so if you could ask him to check his facebook and see if he has any requests that would be awesome xD lol)

I'd like to add to this and ask him

how and when he became aware of the Raiders plans to use him at end. Also, how does he feel about it?

This was my number one question

What do you think the Raider’s see in you that will make you excel at end instead of the middle? Do you think they will move you inside on certain packages on certain teams? Here’s to some 5-2-4, 2-5-4 spankage! I know “experts” are calling for some 3-4 packages with the usual 4-3 man cover, but since the season has been over, I have been getting hints of the Philly game year round, with more explosive players and scheme. Seymour, Houston/Kelly/Henderson (Heard, Bryant, someone step up!!) – Groves, Wimbley, McClain, Scott, Howard…Guess whose coming?!?! Yes even Howard from time to time, surprise surprise. This is a way for MM to see more playing time, since we know Huff really isn’t going to corner, and believe it or not I think CJ can beat him in man coverage 4/5 times.

Lamaar,

What do you see as your biggest strength that you bring to the team?
What were your thoughts when you were drafted by the Raiders?

Question

Who do you try and model your game after and what do you hope to accomplish in your first year with the Raiders?

Buster: Let me go with you. I was trained by Army. I speak the language.
Michael: You speak Arabic?
Buster: La-ach-ha-tem.
Michael: What’s that mean?
Buster: No, I was just clearing my throat, but I think it actually does mean "laundry" but like a child’s laundry. We don’t really have a word for it.

Please Ask Him

Do you think your skills are better suited for DE or DT? Why do you think so?

Question?

How many sacks does he want to go for this year?

A JILLION!!!!!

Please ask him

Dose he see himself starting opposite of Seymour at DE at the beginning of the season, or dose he see himself as a backup at this time?
