Report: Raiders sign first-round draft pick LB Rolando McClain
According to the Oakland Raiders Twitter page, the team has signed eighth overall pick linebacker Rolando McClain to a contract. Terms have not yet been released.

I am getting used to exclusively good news coming out of Raiderland.
McClain is only the third first round pick to have signed his contract. He is by far the highest selection to have signed. Dez Bryant is the next at 24.
McClain said he wouldn’t hold out and he didn’t. Al always does a great job of getting his rookies into camp (one overweight exception) on time and he did it again.

this is refreshing. I was worried he would go a little on the holdout route but glad to see common sense on all sides came through.

Five-year $40 million deal
Supposedly $23 million guaranteed as per Adam Schefter;
A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that McClain signed a five-year deal worth $40 million that included $23 million guaranteed.
Sounds good to me, right in line with where it should be… Not an overpay.

We’ve signed all of our 9 draft picks and McClain is the highest draft pick to sign so far in this years draft and only the 3rd of those taken in the 1st Round. We had an awesome draft choosing great athletes with character who seem to want to be a RAIDER.

We Only Drafted One Recent "Jerk" And Everyone Was Saying What A No Brainier It Was
Sense than and before than we have had our personnel in camp on time…
Hind-Site may have 20-20 vision but at the time that “Jerk” looked pretty damn good….It’s not Mr Davis n the Raiders fault that he had no heart for the game and turned glamor boy on the juice instead of the “QB” of the future that he was poised to be…All that money in a kids hands and it’s any one’s guess how it turns out….
Can we not talk about that shithouse anymore please? Its in the past and may be bad karma even thinking about him now that camp has started.
