It's that time again. The annual preseason game featuring our Oakland Raiders and the Bay Area's other NFL franchise, the San Francisco 49ers, is set to kickoff in an hour from now. This is, of course, your place to discuss the game. Hit the jump for some minor details.
Both teams are off to 2-0 starts in the preseason. The 49ers claimed victory over the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings while the Raiders have defeated the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears.
Since the Raiders did not sell out 72 hours prior to kickoff, this game is blacked out in some Oakland markets. Courtesy of SB Nation Bay Area, we know where the game will be televised live and where we are on a tape delay.
Tonight's game is airing live in almost all of the following markets:
KOVR-Sacramento (live, 6 p.m.)
KION-Monterey/Salinas (live)
KGPE-Fresno/Visalia (live)
KOLO-Reno (live)
KERO-Bakersfield (live)
KCVU-Chico/Redding (live)

Really watched it for one of my first times online due to necessity
and tho it was faulty and typical at first, it was amazing in the second half. Thanks to all of you for being such snap reliable sources. We are lucky to have such computer savvy and knowledgable folks here.

Nothing better than that, second to going to this game. I know Saint’s having the time of his life, and can’t wait to see him on the Food network spot, with an extremely fired up Raider Nation!
Last year, we scrimmaged against San Fran quite a bit before our preseason matchup, giving Singletary ample opportunity to expose our weaknesses, of which there were many. This will be a key factor in why tonights game will be different.
The other reason that will be key, and it’s also a quality Singletary brings to the table: “We want to build a bully.” Says Hue Jackson, and he’s got this team buying into it.
My question to Tyvon was to answer in one word the difference between this year and last year, and you know what he said?

I think he's ready, but not so sure, 'cuz I think he'll be one of Hue's secret weapons
and he’ll have a bag of tricks for his kind of talent. He won’t want to expose too much. Unless Darren is able to do it from the singleback formation or off tackle like they’ve used him before, I’m afraid we won’t see it yet.

I'd give Gradkowski the rest of the third quarter and not play Boller.
Brennan should get the fourth quarter. The thing is, though, is that the coaching staff may have already made up their minds about not carrying a fourth quarterback and so Brennan doesn’t even matter.

the third game of preseason, this the “dress rehearsal,” as it were…
is for getting ready for season play. Starter play well into third quarter often, unless they’re nursing injuries. It’s already pretty much decided who’s pink slipped and who isn’t, but some get a last chance to suprise late in the game.

Hope Seymour makes a big difference when he’s in there. Bryant and Henderson were pretty tough together. Kelly played pretty well a couple downs too, but we have to figure out what’s getting us gashed up the middle like that. That makes you most susceptible to PA too.

The Titans offense didn't look too good today
Johnson had 10 yards on 8 carries against the Panthers. Hopefully we can contain him.
Being a realist, Chris Johnson will have a week 1 boon playing against Oakland
I say this for several reasons. For one, the game will be in Tennessee, where the average temp in Sept is 83 degrees, it will be extremely hot, not to mention while not a completely polished bunch on the O line, they’re physical, long and play well together.
While our Run defense figures to be a lot better, you’re sending a still unknown commodity into the pit so to speak, Chris Johnson is fast, extremely fast.
Tennessee’s offense is weak at WR, they need to get Johnson real estate to rev up his motor.
All that being said, the Run D could come out of the gate strong, it could happen, though not probable in week 1, remember everyone Rome wasn’t built in a day.
