Halftime Thread: With All Of These Changes, It All Remains The Same
The first half of today's game against Tennessee is enough to make any Raider Fan think that they can expect much more of the same for the next sixteen weeks as they have been experiencing for the past seven seasons.
And as I write this, THERE GOES Chris Johnson and my point is being driven home.
24-3 Tennessee...
Then we start running draws and screens? And what happens? McFadden goes off! Then Jano kicks a field goal on 4th and two when the team NEEDED to go for it.
Your thoughts on the 24-6 deficit?

Are we really this inept
I mean we have talent and it shows we just cant execute. So frustrting to watch this but like a car wreck we can’t turn away……

I hate to agree... is it too early
The run D (despite on long run by Chris Johnson) looks better. The problem is obviously with the O-Line and our lack of quality WRs. It’s time to make some changes right now. Who is out there to help our O-Line.
- - Mario Henderson is horrible! He doesn’t have a clue
- - Veldheer is looking like a disaster at Center. Let’s just try him at LT.
- - Langston Walker.. really? He is our starting RT? Wow.
On the bright side… Oh hell… there is no bright side.
Light up the Freakin Halo!
true
but its still pretty bad. i thought we should have had a few chances to score, but the drive stalled
at least Titans wont score anymore for a little while
at least until the 3rd quarter starts

Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
bright side
the bright side is thy drove me to hit the hard liquer early………….if this year is going to be like this its going to be painful…………..like a slow root canal

Cable is an idiot
for thinking he can develop guys like Mario Henderson.
bottom line is, if you don’t have talent at the O-line, its not going to work

agree with all my being to your posts title!

lol
not so much the title as the subject
Ugh.
My thoughts? Blame Jason Campbell. You would think someone who played behind the worst O-Line in football for two years would play with some urgency. Overthrowing receivers, being far too patient with a line that he just can’t afford that kind of patience with. I didn’t think it would take one half for me to start calling for Gradkowski but the guy is playing TERRIBLE football right now. He needs to step his game up, and so does Hue Jackson. Mix it up, dude. God.
Our defense gave him a quarter and a half to give them something and he filmed an episode of Football Follies out there.
'Like' my band. I mean, it'd be awesome if you did that.
I don’t blame Jason at all. That O-line is playing worst than I’ve ever seen it.
True knowledge consists in knowing that you know nothing
except he's hasn't adapted whatsoever - the o-lne is bad, we knew that, but to continue as though they are going to do carry
out their assignments like they are on the blackboard is absurd. Campbell, at least in this game, is horrible.

This O-line looked worse than it did at any point last year..I was completely stunned to see how bad they played. I mean, I didn’t expect them to play great, but shit. Veldheer SUCKED! Mario SUCKED! Langston and Cooper were penalties waiting to happen. Tom is officially on the hot seat.

can't blme JC for all of this
I mean the damn ball is being snapped over his head, O line what O line they suck. If we had anyone left I’d say play them. I’ve seen high school kids with more intensity and effort! These guys look horrible

In Tennessee, seems like it looks ad bad on tv as it does in person
D has been decent but o-line as a whole has been nothing but shithouse! Need grad in the game because he does not hold on to the ball. On the bright side the Titans may just be really good……hopefully

Tom Cable is supposed to be a O-line coach.
What an embarassment! Henderson is not a starting quality LT. Walker is a retread that nobody wanted.
PUT BRUCE CAMBELL AND BARNES IN NOW!!!
"May the wind be at our back, here comes the Silver and Black "
It can't get any worse.
Henderson is missing blocking assignments. Carlile just got called for holding.
What else are we gonna do?

You lose respect.

Why? ‘Cause I don’t want to put a rookie in who could barely play LT in college? I’m fine with starting Barnes at LT and kicking Mario to RT, but putting in Bruce Campbell would be a big big big mistake.

Repeating your opinion doesn't make it stronger. For all their collective experience (Mario's 9 years, Carlise's 11 years)
it only makes RUKidding’s argument stronger and yours untenable.

hey u can't make that argument
the Cable lovers will say you blame him for everything.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Is that therefore a wrong conclusion?

Top to bottom our team needs to be revamped
from the front office to the training staff

Just make it less ugly, Oakland. Have some self-respect.
'Like' my band. I mean, it'd be awesome if you did that.
Not the end of the world
But not pretty either.
Some bright spots, but the f’ugly OL play is the biggest problem, and sadly the one that has yet to be really addressed by Al or Cable.
Let’s see what happens next week…
Failure builds character; success reveals it
Langston has to become a Guard and Mario can join Al Bundy selling shoes and telling tails of glory days ...
Meanwhile, ie. Now, Grad should assume QB and lead this team b/c Campbell is incapable.
S-O-B: ITS HOW I ROLL, DEAL WITH IT.
Maybe Cable will be selling shoes too!
