Texans over Colts or K.C. over StD - tough one. The tide has turned and the bad guys are standing on the shore

as the fresh fleet sails into the the sunset. … Now, our work lies before us – K.C. is basically Tenn w/o a magician for a QB – I’m trying hard not to look forward to them too much … there is so much to do right now.

I kept thinking about our draft day at Ricky's when Arenas, McCluster and Petrus were NOT drafted by the Raiders

Petrus made the Giants:

But was innactive last week. I bet he would have been active for us in Tenn!!! I wish he were on teh practice squad so that we could snag him!!!

I still think both KC and Oak games will be competitive.

They always have been, even when we had a solid offense led by Trent Green and company.

It's all on the shoulders of Matt Cassel and the o-line.

We played ultra-conservative with the rain and wind, which was the right move. But we need a better showing from Matt if we want to beat the Browns in Cleveland. Our defense really surprised me considering they were on the field most of the game.

Voted New Orleans

Houston has been a very tough game for Indy for the last few years, with the Colts eking out wins by very slim margins, so that was only a matter of time.

Green Bay over Philly would have meant more if Kolb had played the entire game.

Both Baltimore and the Jets played so poorly on offense that is would be tough to call the game if they met again.

I took NO because they won a tough, defensive battle, which most thought that they wouldn’t be able to do, and beat a team that played them very tough in the NFC Championship game, a team looking for revenge, and one that is set on defense. That’s the type of game that can set the tone for the entire season…

We’ll see what happens, but it seemed to me to be the biggest, most important win…

N.O.

You seriously think the Victory of the Week is from a team almost everyone picks to return to at least the playoffs if not the Super Bowl? This team played at home and barely eaked out a win. They showed very little offense and a fair defense.
I guess everybody is entitled to their opinion, even if it is crazy.

Picks mean squat

The safe pick every year is for the SB champ to go again, and yet it is almost invariably not even close.

The Saints won the SB, a great feel-good story, but they had to ride turnovers to do it; the defense was suspect all year, and didn’t do much to change that perception in the offseason. They have been seen as an offensive team that still needed a defense. They were playing a strong defensive team, one that they had their problems with last year.

They came out, were shut down on their strong point (offense), and rode a very tough defense to stop a team that is picked to hit the SB as well. Not only that, but they temporarily shut down all those who can’t pull their lips off Favre’s jock.

They were a team with a lot more questions than you usually see coming off a SB win, and completely shut down their detractors, with a big win over a tough opponent. Even without Rice, Minnesota is a dangeous offensive team, shutting them down took more than a ‘fiar’ defense; just ask the team that face Petersen how easy it is to keep him him check.

But, whatever….

I voted Seattle over San Fran.

I think because the KC and Houston victories seemed much more probable than Seattle beating the Niners down as bad as they did when so many were picking them to dominate the division especially in Pete Carroll’s first game.

I picked KC over San Diego

The Chargers are in trouble this season, I can smell the blood in the water. Now Arian Foster——damn, thats game of the week material stuff right there.
