No need for a QB we got DOC B!
I for one am sick of hearing about the how the Raiders should try and trade for Vick!
1. Vick is now the Eagles starter
2. We do not need any more QBs
Adding Vick (or any other QB for the matter) will not be the best thing to do! That will just add another person that will need more time to get use to our players and offense. What the Raider nation needs is Bruce (or Doc B as Rich Eisen calls him) and a better line, but Bruce is the easier fix. Campbell is not horrible, but he does not bring the same energy nor the synergy as Bruce does. Drives are more exciting! Plays are made! Receivers respond! And while the D is look for Bruce to scramble then chuck the ball up field to Murphy, McFadden gets busy racking up yards!
Bruce is our man! He gets shit done and should start without a doubt. Instead of saying "We should try to pick up Vick" we should say "We should do like the Eagles and put in our back up!" because clearly, just like Vick, Bruce has proven him self once again. I would love to know what you guys think and i read somewhere (maybe on this site) that "Bruce is like a mini Jeff Garcia". If that was you please give your self a pat on the back lol

Grad's the Man. His time is approaching. But, I suspect Campbell will start because Al is on record praising him
and so it will take more than two dismal games from the “new Plunkett” to convince Davis that Jason isn’t a stud but really a dud. Also, the game is away, so there’s an opportunity to give Campbell one more shot without Grad loving fans booing his fragile psyche back into its introverted shell. Finally, they know that they can always bring Bruce in if things bog down and get that spark that he has always provided this team. So, I expect Jason to start one more time and Bruce to come in like he did Sunday and save the day. Then, against the powerful Texans at home, it will be Gradkowski the Giant Killer. I didn’t expect to beat Houston before last Sunday but if our Defense plays like it did in the 2nd half against St.L., with Grad we might just pull it off at home for the 60,000 who would attend.

if,and thats a if because i got a felling cable is going to do the right thing,
campbell starts in az. and it the same ol’ stagnant offense, i dont think they wait until the half to put grads in. im thinking if campbell gets the nod he has ONE quarter to generate something before grads comes in to save the day yet again.

I picked the RAIDERS 2 beat rams in knockout week 2
I figured : embarrassed wk 1; wk 2 v.s worst team in the league with rookie qb AT HOME- a lock .
Well I was right , in a way. I expected more than a 2 pt victory here, and that scares me. Yet wisdom prevailed and Grad started 2nd half(why did it take that long?). Give Bruce more time at the helm, JC has not justified in pre nor reg season no matter the pay difference.
We have 0 shot at Vick this year
But he’s a FA and so is Bruce so blah blah you know where Im going with this BUT we’ll see how long Bruce lasts as Bruce almighty before team start game planning harder for him

That's exactly what I'm worried about
Teams haven’t been gameplanning for him yet and I want to see how he responds? The other the starter will probably be Bruce Almighty but cable guy doesn’t want to tip off the cards as to who will start so they are less prepared!

It's impossible to count the number of fools, they are too numerous. But, in a smaller community, they are readily recognized.

Ctb3, I agree with you 100%!!! Bruce is just a winner. It’s what he does. Whenever he is in the game, plays just seem to be made. Players play harder. And most importantly, we WIN! I got butterlies in my stomach when I saw Bruce come out onto the field after the half. I have complete faith that our team can win when Bruce is under center. Also, I don’t understand why we can’t make Grads a franchise quarterback (considering he doesn’t get injured this season and wins as a starter), he is only going into his fifth year. He is still fairly young and has a chemistry with this team that is undeniable. His biggest question mark to me is whether or not he can stay healthy. I believe he can. Some people think that Bruce doesn’t have the physical tools to be a great quarteback..why not??!! People say he can’t throw the deep ball..I beg to differ. When I’ve seen grad throw deep, and by deep i mean 30-40 yard, he has been pretty damn successful. But how often do quarterbacks throw long these days? Not very often. 95% of throw qb’s make these days are short to medium and very few deep balls. Grad reminds me alot of Jeff Garcia and Rich Gannon. Both those quarterbacks were pretty damn good if I recall, and neither of them has a strong arm..but both were fiery leaders who got their team fired up each and every game. I really believe Bruce can be just as good as these two. we have great young receivers who are only going to get better..an amazing tight end..two great running backs..and an oline that is crap now but will get better with time I believe. KEEP BRUCE AS THE STARTER PLEASE! I’m gonna be sooo heartbroken if Jason starts this Sunday. My gut tells me Cable will make the right decision BECAUSE..Bruce has saved his ass last season and this past Sunday. If Cable kept Campbell in and we lost against the Rams, I really think Cable wouldn’t be coaching right now. Bruce saved him, and I think Cable will return the favor by starting him. i hopeeeeee

Bruuuuuuccce
Are you kidding me? We have to start Bruce? Do you want our support or not Cable? Put him in coach!
Light up the Freakin Halo!
That's the smart play
Which is why it is a bit of a surprise… lol
Gradkoski came in and produced, and it really doesn’t matter if the play calling changes helped (which I think they did), or any other reason that is claimed; the fact that he moved the offense better points to his starting, until he can’t produce.
When you make a change at QB, like last week, you stay with it.

Play calling changes?
“The thing that stood out to me, is the same people, same day, same defense, same opponent, same people in the huddle with you, didn’t change the plan, and yet we were able to go out and move the ball and score some points,” Cable said. “He’ll go in there and do the job. It’s his now. Where we go from here, obviously, will be decided by how well he plays.”

When do coaches speak freely?
I know that I saw a difference in what was done.
Two examples:
One of the first plays called in the second half was… a rollout, to deal with pressure. That was, I believe, the first time that one had been called all season. A good call, get the QB out of where the pressure is focused.
Quick hitches, another call rarely seen, and well-timed.
That isn’t meant to detract from Gradkowski, who earned the start, but to simply point out that the play calling didn’t help the cause in the first 6 quarters. I imagine that it will need to stay that way, because I don’t foresee any great improvement on the OL, but if there is an injury due to that same OL play, then the game plan needs to continue to focus on getting the ball out quick, and to move the QB around somewhat.

Hawgz, Bugz, and FilthyFowl Hater Nov 24 post ...
Just had the opportunity to read the garbage you posted you pompous ass. How’s that 0-2 record working out for that “elite” team of yours. I get it that it’s real popular amongst the utterly brain dead to jump on the bandwagon and kick the dog when he’s down, but check this out … this dog has finally got its teeth showing again and they’re primed to take a serious bite out of some of the so-called “elite” in the NFL. GO RAIDERS!!!
