The man has left the stadium.
In 1970 I was ten and living in Lafayette, CA when I found out about pro sports.
I left when I was 13, but I’ve been a Raider fan since.
He was the rock for those teams, both behind center and eyeing the uprights.
Thank you, George.

He was the rock. Ironic considering yesterday's performance(s) by Raiders and players in Silver & Black.

That is, ironic that he should pass away the next day

Yeah it is
Especially with how Janikowski had probably the worst game of his career, and now the Raiders best kicker of all time and one of the NFL’s best kickers (as well as qb) passes away.
Perhaps his spirit
that was leaving, was perceptible at some level.
There was some weird stuff working in that game, from Cable calling 24 points at the beginning, to all the penalties, and all the weird misses, touches, bounces, etc.
One of the all time greats
He’ll be missed. Hopefully our team can rally and play for Tatum and Blanda. They should be motivated to want to get back to the glory days that those guys played in and really strive to be great like they were.
They did their best to try and encapsulate the man, though his greatness is longer than
6 minutes.
Should be regarded also, as the greatest Fantasy Football player of all time.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.

The Character of Raiders then was off the scale. When I met Jim Otto (w/Spirals and Saint) at Ricky's, I asked him about George Blanda
and he said he’d just talked to him the previous week and are in close contact. Those Raiders were tight and stayed tight after they stopped playing.

Gone but never forgotten forever a legend. I am sorry for your loss.
They're gonna get some pretty sweet games going up there
with the new additions. The Raider spirit lives on forever.

Very cool thanks Sons
They don’t make players like that anymore, or teams. Love it. I can’t get over how the oldest man in to play in NFL history is just casually walking in or out of a stadium smoking a cigarette.
My profile pic is a Todd Marinovich painting.
My Great-Grandpa used Brut, and he was one of the toughest sons of bitches I’ve ever known. I think there’s something behind this cologne. I might just start using it.
When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
Brut was in the 70's what Polo was in the 80's - an accommodation to the preferences of women (very sweet almost perfumish)
