Ask Nnamdi Asomugha A Question And Be In The Next Issue Of The Sporting News
I was contacted by The Sporting News last week and they wanted to know if our Community would like to participate in the Q and A with Nnamdi Asomugha.
They will select five questions and the lucky fans will have their question asked and it will appear next to their name in the upcoming edition of the Sporting News.
That all sounds pretty sweet huh?
Just send the email to:
rfagan@sportingnews.com
Be sure to put Silver and Black Pride in the title of you e-mail so that he will know that we are asking it. He indicated that he would give preference to questions from our site.
In fact, if yo leave your question in the thread I will send the entire thread over and perhaps we can get it to Nnamdi.
If today seems like Nnamdi Asomugha Love Day, that;s probably because he deserves all he can get.

Thanks for everything, Nnamdi!
I have the utmost respect for you, both as a player, and as a class human being. You deserve to be the highest paid player in the league for all you bring to this team and the Nation!
I’ve always wondered if you do any special cross-training or exercise that keeps you elite and healthy? Yoga, martial arts, any new cutting edge techniques? Also, what is it about your study of the game that separates you from the average player?

Who is your football idol? Who do/did you look up to?
If you could meet one person in the world, living or dead, who would it be, and why?
What is the best thing, or feeling, playing for the raiders?
What are any other interests do you have, besides football?
What are your favorite movies(I’m a movie buff :))?
What are some things you can work on do you believe?

These players, a lot of other people didn't believe in them, but they believe in themselves. And that is all that matters."- Bill Belichick
I'm also a Raider Fan dammit!!! RAIDER NATION!!!!

But should be what?

I liked your questions. It’s always interesting to get to know the player off the field as well as you do on it.

I like to get to know my football players.
You got so many people who know a football player, simply because of his play on the field. What is he like off it? What are some of the things that he enjoys doing outside of football? That makes him unique?
These are questions not just for a football player, but for a human being.

I think he likes watching California play on Saturdays and he likes spending money.

Which WR in the nfl do you like to smash your fist in the most?(if you can't answer that, than instead of "smash your fist" replace it with "play against.")?

Asom1, you are well respected for your expertise in pass coverage and hard and sure tackling
My Question to you is this:
Is the degree of satisfaction you get from a well defended pass more, less, or the same as a really good stick? How do they compare?
Thank you.
S-O-B: ITS HOW I ROLL, DEAL WITH IT.
Why doesn't the Defense do more zone and cover2? (Routt should have a cover partner at all times, Huff)
Why doesn’t the D blitz more? At least Blitz Branch since he is no good at covering.
Is the D controlled by Al with his outdated schemes?

I'd rather keep Death Ro home, but send Wimbley, Groves or Branch (Branch is effective once a player has the ball)

I wanted to ask a question to Nnamdi regarding the defense.
All of your recent acquisitions have made it seem the team is better set to run a 3-4. With that said, have you and the coaches talked about getting involved covering the slot and possibly showing more blitz packages from that set ala Charles Woodson in Green Bay?
