T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Update T.J. Houshmandzadeh Has Been Released)
I think if T.J. is released the Raiders should pick him. It would give them a vet at the WR position to help out our WRs and be a reliable target. He may not be fast, but he could also be a very good possession WR. also, What are you guys thoughts on the QB situation. I personally think Bruce should be starting. I think that earned that right. last year. Campbell looks really slow in the pocket. Thoughts?

my thoughts...
Well I would tend to agree with you about Grads…he appears to have that “it” factor…he promotes chemistry the minute he steps onto the field…as for WRs that may be released…I like Crayton from Dallas…always liked his play- also I believe he can return kicks and/or punts…

I don't think Campbell looks slow at all
well except for that time when he was laying flat on his back. I am thrilled to see what Campbell can do with this offense on a regular basis. That first drive against the 9ers was the best I’ve seen the Raiders offense look since Gannon was here.
As for Housh, it’s been discussed on the other posts about him, but no. Besides he wouldn’t come here. He’s going to want to go someplace where is the #1 option and if he concedes no to, I imagine it would only be for a legit Super Bowl contender.
Thought is cheap.
Not to amped up on Bruce as the QB
He did very well for Tampa when he took over their for a couple games and won them, but quickly regressed.
He can rally the team, but his pure ability won’t work the course of the season.
Cambell understands the position better and has more tools and intangibles that will allow him to make this offense progress more, as opposed to get a spark of energy and play well.
I like Grad…as the backup.
The last 7 of 8 games Grad's played he's been terrific -- and the stats support my own eyes

Throw in the preseason SF game (a TD in his first 3 plays after missing OTAs and TC) and again agains Seattle w/ 2 TDs in 1st Qtr
All the arguments against Grad are either from historical data that doesn’t look at what he’s done recently or, is regurgitated platitudes from the Wiesely pundits who lack innate football instincts and study the game like pre-med students study organic chemistry.

And
I sound like a broken record here, but the historical data isn’t fair because he never got the chance Oakland gave him here to take the keys and just go. Confidence put on him by the team boosted his own, and he didn’t disappoint. He had an unfortunate injury w/ the MCL’s and his peck, but I’m hoping that’s just a run of bad luck. He’s not known really for injuries is he from the other teams?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Grad's QB rating against SF was 123.7 and against Seattle 121.4 ... and recall, he had several dropped passes in both
games that were either spot on or catchable.

Indeed
someone missed the second half of Oakland’s season last year I guess…..
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
Can you please
elaborate how Campbell understand the position better than Gradkowski? If you’re gonna make comments like that back them up. Gradkowski has all the intangibles needed for a QB. He’s proven it. Had he not hurt himself, I don’t even think we’d gone after Campbell. Don’t put all your eggs in Campbell’s basket. He’s not a savior and Gradkowski already had the chemistry w/ the team. So take away the injuries and I’d bet Grad started. He has the accuracy, the leadership, the intelligence, the ability to decide to use his legs and run with it, the ball security, all these intangibles you think he doesn’t have. Go review the 2nd half of last season. Go review the Pittsburgh game. You know the one where we marched down field and retook the lead several times…..
I like Grad as the starter. But here we go already, we’re gonna have the Grad haters, probably some still are closet Russell supporters and are embarrassed they supported him or still back him, come out now and heave all this bull and not back anything up.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
I will agree
I think Grad makes up for his supposed lack of ’’talent" by showing leadership, toughness, and being and obvious student of the game. He over performs with not a great supporting cast as well.

Grad consistently gets other players to play better - he's a charismatic leader

We're Blessed to have both !!!!
Considering what we just went through with He who shall’nt be Named !!! This is a NO ARGUMENT !!! If Campbell gets dinged, here’s Grad !!! Even if the unthinkable happens, Which it did last year, Boller’s looking good at the # 3 spot. Count your fucking blessing RaiderFans !!! Bummer That Crayton’s in SD, of all the damn places !!! He would’ve been a nice pickup. BTW, When did that happen ???
TJ Housh...whateverthespelling
Looked great when OchoCinco was drawing the double coverage, but since then has not been able to break free and produce. In Cincy the opposing D had to worry about Chris Henry as well. Housh is not a sure fire #1, but will get #1 money from someone, I just hope it’s not us. Next year there are going to be plenty of people to throw cash at, I hope we wait.
"We can't stop here... This is bat country."
T.J. was all the Seacocks had
on a shitty offense. Here in Oakland he’ll compliment our young guys and provide veteran leadership.
Plus if the Seacocks cut him, they owe him like $7 mil or so. Maybe we could get him for a better price
agreed
also him and hue already have chemisty as hue was the WR coach in cincy when they drafted him. i really think he’d be a great fit just to show the young guys how to practice and take care of thier bodies. also T.J. wasnt COMPLETLY useless, he did damn near had 1000 yards receiving. he just didnt produce that much in the redzone… only 3 TD’s

Houshyomomma
I think we should pick him up cuz other than murphy who else can catch the ball. Well Chad when he isnt hurt but thats all the time and even if he isnt think of those three on the field at the same time crazy huh? Plus let us not forget about our greatest weapon Zack Miller who will be on the field also. This will open the field up for RunDMC all day.
Can we change his nickname
to FalldownDMC now? Or FumbleDMC? Or FragileDMC? But until he produces, can we take the run adjective out?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
i did want to say it
but i burnt my credibility with the vincent jackson thing haha
that said i love the idea
but i doubt most people will, im sure some people will think hes a premadonna like jackson and say pass
There's a lot of faith in our WRs here. The VJ idea wasn't that off even if some people thought so

It was (is)
a great idea. My thought is that it’s far from likely.

wow.
I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP
I'm also a Raider Fan dammit!!! RAIDER NATION!!!!
