Sensible
Especially on the Eagles. A lot of favorable opinions going round on Kolb, but he hasn’t looked that impressive in the pre-season.
4-12 for the Donkeys? lol I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
a few points
since im first to reply =D
id say raider trench play on defense isnt all that bad. offensively though, oline and reciever play is absolutely a glaring issue. im sure most ppl feel the same way… our aerial attack will suffer, which will make the ground game suffer, which will make the defense suffer…. i honestly really hope the pin hinge holding it together will be the screen pass. if we can work that effectively, we can do good. other than those two really desperate needs we have a solid squad….
now the matter id like to bring up is wide reciever. anyone who thinks were set at wr needs to wake the hell up. now i know all of you know my stance on vincent jackson, but i think we might very well find the answer elsewhere….
a list of possibles:
TJ houshehehwiudijewjppzadeh
victor cruz
patrick crayton <——shit why didnt we think of that???
plaxico burress soon to be released
the guy the jets just released whose name escapes me at the moment for some reason……
How did I know
That this was was gonna juice the Chiefs. We are better then a 5-11 team we were not much of you pace and we made moves just like you and progressed with in house players. Our D held philly and green bay to minimal the last two games and 8-8 is more likely. Willing to bet the Raiders and Chiefs are less then 2 games apart
Why do you keep coming on here and bitching about the Chiefs?
They, just like the Raiders, haven’t done a damn thing in the regular season yet to prove that they either A.) deserve respect or B.) are headed for another year of mediocrity. Until then, it’s all speculation. People on here are simply voicing their (correct) opinions that the Chiefs are still a ways away from being a threat to anyone. If you don’t like it… well, it’s not exactly like anyone is forcing you to come here.
Besides, your favorite team is, arguably, Oakland’s most bitter rival—you shouldn’t expect wine and roses every time your beloved team is mentioned in conversation, because you’re not going to get it. You are, however, going to get (mostly) honest opinions and reasonable predictions.

honest and reasonable opinions yes
but that doesnt mean we cant be respectful fans of a great team just like the cheifs are a great team. every team but the chargers are great seeing as they havent wont a superbowl and never will, so how bout we just keep dreaming of what well do and he can dream of what his team will do
The point is
this is a Raider blog. And while everyone is welcome, what kind of response does he really expect? It’s like a Chevy fan talking on a Ford forum.
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
thats true
but in all fairness would you appreciate going to his blog and being treated badly?
regardless of what the topic is, respect is something u should give everyone
Umm
If I was going to his blog to troll, I would expect to be flamed. That’s why it’s called trolling. Respect is given to those that give it back. Is it respectful to come to an opponent blog and bitch? Why should we show him respect if he doesn’t show us any?
Win, Lose, or Tie, Raiders til I die!
He's not trolling
He only asked that the Chiefs get a fair shake. The Chief’s are far from our bitterest rival. Both our teams’ fans real nemeses are the Broncos and the Chargers. The fact is, the Chiefs and Raiders have a lot in common, are rather in the same boat, both trying to fight their way out of the cellar. Both are the victims of some bad management decisions and players that never panned out. Really, Raiders fans can be expected to have ire, but it ought to be saved for those folks in Denver and San Diego (no offense S.D. Raider).
The Raiders have no nemeses. Unless you're focusing on the past decade - then there's at least an
argument that StD, Baltimore, and Houston dominate us.

weakness btw
Is unproven QB that’s my negaitive. Positive is Elite running game and top 3 secondary in the leauge no question maybe ahead of you. NA gets thrown at few times but he gave up a good percent of the ones that were thrown at him. Flowers had a better incompletion percentage than NA and with the addition of Berry were right there. Also receivers do look better 100% I just don’t see why you guys think 4-12 and 5-11 we are better then that I swear
I think everything needs to break right for the Chiefs to go 8-8.
I think they’ll go 6-10 with wins over Cleveland, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Denver, Oakland and St. Louis. Who else are you going to beat? Maybe you’ll beat Seattle, Tennessee and San Francisco, but that’s about it. I just don’t think you’re going to beat those last three teams.

Best case/Worst case
If EVERYTHING breaks right for the chiefs, I can see them going 11-5, simply because the schedule is so weak.
Worst case is probably the opposite of that, 5-11.
I honestly see them going between 7-9 and 9-7.
Being around .500 is a huge step for a team that’s been a doormat the last couple years.
This guy just doesn't know our team at all (or Miami's or Atlanta's or Tenn., etc) WTF!

IMO
Rookie of the year (offensive)- Ryan Mathews
Rookie of the year(defensively)- Rolando McClain
Success is not measuredby what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds...
-Orison Swett Marden
both are hyped, Mathews more than Ro.

Taking the circumstances into account, Ro's got a far tougher assignment than Matthews ... who is also more overrated

meanwhile matthews
has been basically average. not a showstopper like spiller, but what can u expect from a between the tackles back?
i dont see him putting up big numbers like spiller
I disagree.
i would say CJ spiller has a better year than matthews
The backfield is more crowded in Buffalo. Also, Spiller doesn’t have a Philip Rivers so the box can’t be stacked against Mathews like it can against Spiller.

Above average running game?
Yes, I’d love to see Bush get 1000 this year, but as you mentioned that line is still a problem. He would have to be able to transform into fog like a vampire to get serious yardage regularly.
