Yeah

I mean I LOVE The RAiders but that many on one team! Man hope they don’t have a bad day. The rest of your team isnt so bad. I’d stick with DHB over MArshall. You got Welker and Rodgers who are going ot score some huge points for you. With Moss being all bitchy again Welkers goingto quietly steal the show.

Good luck and GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!

My friends could believe it

it was cause they set it on auto draft and i changed my rankings and there are only six players lolz!!!!

by americaneagle510 on Sep 8, 2010 11:12 PM PDT up reply actions

A few of the same players on my team

QB – Peyton Manning
RB1 – Steven Jackson
RB2 – Johnathan Stewart
RB3 – Felix Jones
WR1 – DeSean Jackson
WR2 – Michael Crabtree
WR3- Jeremy Maclin
TE: Zach Miller
PK: Nate Kaeding
DEF: Cincinnati
IDP: Patrick Willis
Bench: Matt Ryan, Willis McGahee, Leon Washington, Eddie Royal, Louis Murphy, Brian Westbrook

I think my team is either going to be awesome or horribly mediocre. Manning’s OL looks bad, S. Jackson is always an injury risk, and I have to decide if I want to start both Philly WR.

by LiveAdam on Sep 8, 2010 11:38 PM PDT up reply actions

Weak at RB

Going to be tough to win consistently with those RB’s.

You do have some top players (at least how my league scores) but I just would not be comfortable going into the season with the RB’s on roster, scan the waiver wire.

Need a back up kicker.

Kris Brown was cut by the Texans (Neil Rackers is their kicker). Don’t know why you took Justin Forsett after what Mitchell did to him last week.

obvious bias

i picked raider players throughout the last 2 seasons and miller is probably the only one worth drafting… i stay away from them i can but this year picked up murph so idk… hopefully i dont have to cut him next week

I like Darrius, but any league he’s drafted in, I want in…

by transparent58 on Sep 9, 2010 1:19 PM PDT reply actions

sorry to say but that team is garbage your gonna get killed

you need to draft running backs early on because very few will produce big yards consistently you should wait until at least the 3rd round to draft a qb

by mekanikal on Sep 9, 2010 2:38 PM PDT reply actions

That's total bullshit

It depends on the scoring, and even in standart scoring leagues, QBs out scored all but 3-4 RBs. If you’re not drafting in the top 4, you can take an elite QB or WR and get similar production. There are only 3-5 RBs that are guaranteed the lions share of carries for thier team (CJ, AP, MJD, Rice, Turner) the rest will be RB by commitee. Meanwhile QBs like Rodger, Brees, Manning, Brady, Schaub, and Rivers will put up similar fantasy points almost every week.

The conventional “RB, RB, QB” strategy doesn’t carry as much weight as it used to…sorry, if my choice is between Jamaal Charles and Aaron Rodgers, I’m taking Rodgers 10 out of 10 times. Hell, I’d take Andre Johnson before I’d pick up Charles or any RB not in the 5 I listed earlier, and I’d smoke any league with my “Red Gun” offense :p

Yeah. You go ahead and take Rodger over Charles.

'Like' my band. I mean, it'd be awesome if you did that.

by slapchop on Sep 9, 2010 8:26 PM PDT up reply actions

You’d take Charles over Rodgers?

by JaKe. on Sep 9, 2010 11:35 PM PDT up reply actions

I agree

He should take Rodgers over Charles. Jamaal Charles is going to lose goal line carries and is unproven.

by marshgr on Sep 10, 2010 10:36 PM PDT up reply actions

what im saying is rbs and qbs score similarly

and there are much fewer rb’s that are consitant and will put up big numbers then there are qbs, last season i took my qbs in like the 5th round and ended up with philip rivers who was in the top 10 in fantasy players, its best to wait for qbs.

by JaKe. on Sep 10, 2010 11:05 AM PDT up reply actions

this team is horrible

you have 3 qbs and 2 kickers on your roster, a big no no. Second bush and mcfadden as your 2 main rbs? A failure in both starting positions. DHB shouldn’t be on a fantasy team period, louis murphy i could see as a wr3 but right now id consider him a player to be taken in the final rounds making him the 5th best wr on a fantasy team not the 3rd as he is right now. No ones picking up the oakland defense, why waste a pick on that. Do you really need 2 tight ends also?

Only ok, with the potential to be pretty bad

QB – Rodgers is a good pick, but Sanchez is a question mark; his numbers last year (fantasy-wise) were weak, and while he may be allowed to pass more, the Jets are a run-first team, which will always limit him. Campbell is an unknown; in a new system, unproven WR’s, and a shaky OL. Good starter, depth is iffy…

RB – You only have one real starter, in Forsett. McFadden has been injured and ineffective so far, and Bush is a flex player. Shaky…

WR – Mostly question marks: Marshall should be fine, even though Henne has not looked that good in preseason; Welker is coming off a major injury; DHB is a total gamble, as is Murphy, without a major improvement in OL play, their numbers may not change all that much. Crapshoot…

TE – Shockey is generally overrated, but Miller is a solid pick.

K – Janikowski looks like a decent pick, but only if you get major points for distance. If not, there are plenty of K’s that will get more chances, or look like they will. Brown is unemployed at the moment, I believe. Okay, depending…

DEF – Jets defense whould be fine, limiting yards, points, and should have plenty of turnovers, sacks, and INT’s. Raiders defense is a question mark, and could have been waited on; I’m willing to bet it is available in 99% of the leagues out there. Solid…

I’d say that you could have a decent team, but I’m betting that you are going to be hitting the waiver wire a lot this season, especially early on.

My team...

QB – Matt Ryan, ATL; Carson Palmer, CIN

RB – Ray Rice, BAL; Shonn Greene, NYJ; Beanie Wells, ARI; Arian Foster, HOU; Michael Bush, OAK

WR – Reggie Wayne, IND; DeSean Jackson, PHI; Percy Harvin, MIN; Hakeem Nicks, NYG; Steve Smith, CAR

TE – Owen Daniels, HOU; Tony Gonzalez, ATL

K – Mason Crosby, GB

DEF – Vikings

I feel pretty good about it, not great, but that’s the way it usually is afterwards. The best I felt about a draft was the year it all fell apart… lol

I felt that I had enough depth to take some flyers on question mark guys, and if only some of them pan out, then I should be in good shape.

Completely overlooking the actual players for a minute there's alot of flaws on this team.

Three QBs is completely unnecessary, 2 kickers the same and 2 def/st again not needed. A good rule of thumb for FF is check your homerism at the door for a couple reasons. You end up reaching for guys just because they’re on your team or wasting picks on players that really arent that good and most importantly it may take away from your enjoyment of just watching your favorite team play as you’ll constantly in the back of your head be worrying about your fantasy players performance.
