Any interest in Tony Ugoh?

He was cut by the Colts and still available I think.  Ugoh had great promise but was never able to secure the LT job protecting Manning's back, and while not saying that he is better than Mario, I do think we would be a quality addition to the OL, possibly contributing at RT if not LT.  I would say go for it, cut Loper to make room.

What do you think brothers, should we pursue Ugoh?

After struggling in '08, Ugoh improved in the 5 games he played last season

Considering he was backup protecting the Franchise – We should seriously consider him.

I was thinking this as well..

didn’t he have some injury/durability issues though??

There Ugoh again.

What about picking him on the practice squad until he is healthy?
An OT surely has more value than a practice squad DB or LB.

If the Raiders don’t pick him up, I’m sure some other team will.

Tony Ugoh is not eligible for practice squad.

He's injured

Ugoh has a foot/toe injury that is going to keep him out for an extended period of time. Beyond that, I don’t think he would be an upgrade over Henderson, and the Colts have moved him around as much as we’ve moved Gallery around.

If we’re really moving in a different direction with our O-line, away from ZBS to more power-schemes, it may make more sense to bring back recently released C Jake Grove and part ways with Samson Satele.

Thanks for the insight. I didn’t know he was injured.

Like that idea

Groves was better than Samson; would like to see it.

i really dont get

why were looking at defensive lineman while we have glaring need on the other side of the trenches. we just signed a DT that was cut from the giants
why not on of the dozens of tackles that were released? what happened to them?

Wauffle may not like what he's seeing in the interior. I know Kelly has made some good plays but I've also seen him blow

others. I don’t believe he will change – what a waste of potential – I cast him among those defective ones we haven’t completely jettisoned.

even so

its not a glaring need that needs to be addressed in order for us to have a good season. we can win games even with a less than incredible DT rotation
