Lechler shares his opinion. What's next for him?

Shane Lechler Blasts Oakland Raiders, Al Davis For Releasing Head Coach Tom Cable

Tom Cable might not be the only casualty for the Oakland Raiders this evening. Pro Bowl punter Shane Lechler might not have endeared himself to the abrasive Al Davis when he phoned into CSN Bay Area and blasted the organization on-air.

Lechler discussed the situation with CSN's Kate Longworth. Silver and Black Report picked up the news, and you can read some of the bigger points over on their article, like how veterans might leave the organization over this change, and how indifferent he feels about offensive coordinator Hue Jackson taking the reins.

Perhaps the most quoted phrases though, will be the following.

"This is a terrible decision."

and

"I just want to know what the hell is going on."

Lechler's comments are pretty harsh, and Davis hasn't been known to take criticism all too well. Could he end up being released or traded? It wouldn't be the first time Oakland has made a controversial personnel move...like firing Tom Cable.
