I have been sitting wonder if Hue going to stay or walk away from this job. Many believe he is going to take it but I don't think he is unless the are some big changes in Oakland. When you think about it AL has put such a big cloud over Oakland that only a few coaches even look our way. That is why I believe Hue has the cards in his hand. Because outside of him who else is going to coach in Oakland John Fassel, Denny Green, or some puppet on the coaching staff. Al has taste of victory in his mouth and I think he wants more of it and Hue should require a GM, coaching staff, and no meddling and I think we could have a Dynasty in Oakland.
First we all know we need a GM and President and it is a slim chance we will get one, but if we get one then who will it be. I think this where Tom Cable can be used hate him of love him but he was the real reason for this years draft. Plus he can be the bridge between Al and team and when you think about it he already knows the teams and players respect him. I don't think for one second AL Davis ran this last draft I believe Cable and the Scouting team got it right so keep him around for a year or two we can't do any worse than what we seen AL over the 2006-2009 seasons. I think Cable did a good job getting rid of AL's "Island of Misfits toys" last off season. I mean do I have to bring up Warren, Green, and other that alone should get him the job. Plus if we hire a GM we could even switch to a 3-4 defense because we could trade away some of the Dline for Draft picks.
Next we have to get rid of all the coaches and players living off of the AL Davis Scholarship. We all know the players who are cut only to resign later or the coaches that remain after being at the bottom of league in there area. I can't really judge the Defense because I don't know if its AL, John Marshall, or Both but something has to be done about it. we gave up too many point and big plays this year. The reason I blame AL is this man to man 98% of the time is his love child. I blame John Marshall for the lack of order and preparation. The overall defense improved but not to point I am sold on him returning. I am not even sure our WR's or LB's coach even came to practice all year. When you look at stats both Branch and Huff out performed our LB core. They both lead the team in tackles 1and 2, only are 2 sacks behind all three of them, and they both kill them in the turnover battle. We have to bring someone to coach the LB's because we depend on huff and branch make all the tackles on our defense. Step two who are you going to hire that runs a well balanced defense that uses all the teams talent and bring some discipline. Kevin Greene would make a great DC we would have to change to a 3-4 but I think he would get the best out of Grooves and Wimbley in a 3-4. the only problem now is finding that NT to fill the middle I heard this kid Kendrick Ellis will be around in the 3rd round so we can use that first pick to fix the RT stop and still find that NT with our second pick. That should fix defensive side of the ball. Now to Offense first find a WR's coach we should go to the New Orleans Saints and over pay there WR's Coach. they have the WR squad we wish we had. they have the speed guys the big WR's just like us. They run deep routes all over the field and they don't depend on one guy at WR. After that we have to find a Oline coach who is in tune with Hue Jackson blocking scheme. Then it would be up to Jackson spend time with the QB.
The last thing I think would be the most import Al stop meddling. I don't have a clue how to do this I think even from the Grave Al is going to require man to man every down. The only way I see backing off is if he had a low key GM a HC that was winning scoring a lot of points and a defense that can play man to man from time to time.
