I know there has already been plenty said about a player who hasn't seen the field in the silver and black uniform yet, but here is another post about him! Enjoy! Joking aside I am pumped about this move. His bust label is going to stay in Seattle. Since I have always hated the Seahawks from when they were in our division, I am even happier about this move. If he succeeds than we get to embarrass a former rival for not being able to get the best out of this player. If he fails, everybody will still just laugh at Seattle for screwing the pooch on picking him. Is that fair to them considering Curry was considered possibly the safest pick in the draft and a no brainer for them? Hell no, but who cares! Nobody gives us that type of credit for Japurple Drinkus either. Curry will never be an all time bust like that guy was, but he will be considered a bust for Seattle. Hopefully we can now make them feel even worse about him! There was an excellent quote brought up by a Seahawks fan who tried using it as an insult to Curry. It literally made me twice as excited about adding Curry to our Raiders. Here it is: "It doesn't matter to me, I have the ability to rush the passer on the outside and I have the strength to play on the inside in a 3-4. I think I can come in instantly and make an impact on anybody's defense. My versatility as a linebacker will allow me to play in a 3-4, inside or outside; you can't go wrong (with me)."Now does that type of confidence sound like a Raider, or what? I loved reading that quote, and I loved that the Seattle fan thought he was mocking him by posting it. Leave it to the Seahawks to ruin that type of confidence and optimism. To me that sounds exactly like a born and raised Raider. I know that quote was about a 3-4 defense, which we don't and probably wont run, but I still love it. Some people want us to throw some 3-4 sets out there and he does give us a little more leeway to do that, but I'd doubt us moving in that direction this season. Either way he is no worse than what we had, and he is a warm body adding depth to our weakest position.I will end this post here with wishing Curry well and welcoming him to the Oakland Raiders. Good luck to you Aaron, I hope to see good things out of you. Come on in and do your best, the pressure you felt in Seattle is gone. You became a new man with your faith, and now you have a new team too. You are part of a family here now brother. I am sure Richard Seymour will be happy to take you in and teach you about being a part of our culture. Prove to the Seahawks and their fans that they were wrong, and welcome to the Silver and Black!
