With the recent QB casualty to the Raiders, scenarios abound have been flooding in from football heads all around the league on who the Raiders should pursue with Campbell's season likely over. From Carson Palmer to David Garrard, the team will explore every available option before next week's trade deadline. Of all the one's mentioned on NFL Network and ESPN, I feel Garrard would be the best choice. Palmer is not going to be an option due to the ridiculously stubborn ownership of the Bengals. Even though he didn't work out well for the Jags, Garrard is more than capable of leading the talented Raiders deep into the post season. Here's why. I am a Colts fan from Indy now living in the Bay area who has seen enough of the former Jags QB to know how good he can be. In Jacksonville, David never really had the kind of play makers around him that he would have in Oakland, nor did he have a coach/OC like the combo now coaching the Raiders. I believe Hue Jackson could turn Jamie Foxx into a real life "Willie Beemin." The man is an offensive genius. Who ever the Raiders bring in at QB, they will only need him to manage the game in order to be successful. Garrard can do that for you. With the weapons he would have at his disposal in Oakland, he can even do a whole lot more. I think he's more accurate than Campbell is and a bit more mobile as well. I also think he throws a better deep ball too. The Raiders would be wise to sign Garrard and trust him to run their dream machine offense all the way to the postseason. I have my fingers crossed and hope it happens. I think Al would be pleased with the results.
