Somewhere up in the Silver and Black skys of Raider heaven, Al Davis has got to be grinning ear to ear. I'll bet he's already wearing a Carson Palmer Jersey. I absolutely love this move by the Raiders. As much as I like Jason Campbell the addition of Palmer is even better. Carson throws a sweeter deep ball and is a little more accurate than Campbell is too. For all of you Madden players out there get your hands off my Raiders! I am taking personal ownership of the team and you can't play with them without my permission. LOL! JK. On a more serious note, this is a win win situation for by franchises. All of talk is going on now from critics who think the Raiders gave up too much, but honestly, the Raiders don't need a 1st round pick this year or next because the team is stacked at every position with world class athletes. Palmer is the missing link now that Campbell is hurt. The Bengals have to just as giddy about this as the Raiders are with their compensation for Palmer's services. The Bengals have a very strong defense and a budding rookie QB who's getting better every week. With the list of strong RBs coming out of next year's draft I can see them going in that direction or even getting another WR to compliment Green. All in all Oakland has a franchise QB who still has plenty in the tank and gives the team something it hasn't had since the days of Rich Gannon. Palmer has to be tickled pink with the set of keys he has to offense he's about to be the designated driver for.
