Passing of a former Raider

Fred Gillet December 16, 1936 - October 20, 2011. Fred was drafted to the Colts in 1962, moved on to the San Diego Chargers, and Al Davis himself brought Fred up to Oakland with him in 1964. They played Iron Man, both offense and defense back in those days, and my godfather's highest salary was $6,000 for a season. He was a man's man, loved and adored by his wife and family, and a fighting Raider til the end. I've spent my life as a Raider fan, and Fred's fan, and grew up to stories of him telling Johnny Unitas to f* off, and playing with Jim Otto. I'm sure there are so many other former Raiders that should be honored and remembered, I think there should be a forum dedicated to just that. But in the meantime, I'd like to honor and remember my godfather, Fred Gillet #44.
