Oakland Raiders' Denarius Moore Can Do Undoable
Denarius Moore can catch anything. You just can't teach the kind of hands and instincts that this kid has. It is special. He stepped up when Jacoby Ford went down and turned in a five catch, 123 yard and two touchdown performance.
There was nothing more spectacular than this.
Look at that! You just don't catch a ball like that. It's not possible...unless you are Denarius Moore. There may be better catches this week because they come in traffic, or the receiver displays amazing footwork on the sideline, but in terms of just the actual catching of the ball there will be nothing more spectacular than this.
This catch was amazing. But Moore isn't just about the amazing. He is also about subtle brilliance. This guy is just a natural football player. And even though he is rookie he has no problem with the speed of the game. That shone through on his first TD grab. Check it out right here:
Moore was running a deep post, but the safety was going over the top. Right before this shot Moore was looking back at Carson. He saw Carson step up in the pocket, and knew he had a couple extra seconds. So he quickly diagnosed the defense and torched the safety while moving with Carson to the left of the field.
The result was an easy TD...and me getting completely jacked about his, and this passing game's, future.

No doubt this kid is special
so humble as well. makes a big play flips the ball to the ref and runs back to the huddle.
So much fun to watch and very much looking forward to seeing him play for years to come.

what gets me completely jacked about is, that we've got 3 (yes, three) receivers emerging big time!
Moore, DHB and Ford (please get healthy quick).
And with Carson more and more “proving the naysayers wrong” I’m looking at some stunning seasons to come.
Next season, we may be looking at one of the best receiving corps in football with an elite QB under an emerging center. You might have noticed, I wanna see Lil’ Wiz playing center. We run the ball better through the middle with him at center and he excelled at college playing this position. Satele is alright, but to be a contender we need better than alright.
Adding DMC, one of the best RBs to play the game (and please lord, give him some durability), this offense is one kind of a beast. Not mentioning Marcel Reece or a (hopefully then) emerging DMC copy in Taiwan Jones.
Now let’s adress some needs (depth on the OLine, a starter and more depth on DBs) via FA and a Superbowl run may not be that unlikely anymore.

although DHB had his second game without a catch
Notice he isn’t starting? Hue doesn’t have Al to please, and he starts the game with Ford, Moore, and Chaz…. Something to read into there?
Denarius Moore
what a fine young man.. his post game interview was very humble..he will go far with the Raiders
Great to see Carson showing us what we've suspected was true of all these kids come to fruition
and the best part, is we haven’t even seen our best football yet. GO RAIDERS!!!! Time to peel off a win streak.

Raider Nation, all hand's on deck or get the hell off the ship! That's the way it's gonna be around here from now on! If a 7th & 5th round pick gets you Aaron Curry (a former 4th overall 1st rd. pick) instead of a couple of crap-shoots a year later, then fine and if dealing away a couple of first rounder's gets you a proven franchise quarterback like Carson Palmer and a legitimate shot at the playoffs, then great, you know why? Because our team is standing behind it's motto & legacy, "Just Win Baby!" and "Commitment to Excellence" instead of "Suck for Luck" and "Give Up". Absolutely an epic steal of a pick
He has the ability to become the biggest steal of a draft pick since Tom Brady.

Makes me wish we could have those 2 loss games replayed. I'm sure it would turn out quite differently.
We’ll see KC again and catch them on the rebound. Denver just got lucky.

Im not gonna claim to be the first but....
if I wasn’t I was damn close. Im from TN and a vol fan so I watched alot of D.Moore. He was a great wideout that was let down by UT. He went thru 3 head coaches (fulmer, kiffin, dooley) and coaching staffs. Hard to get noticed with things like that going on with team chemistry. Anyways, I was waiting for him to get picked by us thru the 3rd, 4th, until finally the 5th round came around. My only regret was Luke Stocker not getting picked up by us. He was in the same situation Moore was in with the coaching carousel. Seen signs of Jason Whitten in the guy.
nice
Good to see the Vol fans knew what they had! That would have been a tough time for those players he probably hates Lance Kiffen as much as any Raider too.

I’m loving it! The only down side to yesterdays game will have to be Jacoby being injured but other than that we have a lot to look forward to. Especially since were supposed to get DMac back next week and if Carson can play like he’s playing, we can definitely go deep in the playoffs! We have something special brewing Nation, I might be out there in Oakland for their next home game!

Man stabbed in parking lot after Raiders-Chargers game
SAN DIEGO — A 25-year-old man was stabbed during a fight in the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot after the Oakland Raiders’ victory over the San Diego Chargers on Thursday night, police said.
Two men started fighting after the game and it doesn’t appear the fight had anything to do with a sports rivalry, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.
The injury doesn’t appear to be life-threatening, Stafford said. The victim was treated at a hospital for a stab wound to the abdomen.

Infinity & Beyond
The Raiders FINALLY have a QB that can get the ball to the faster receiver corps in the league. Although the one Ford got injured on was under thrown.
I think the Raiders have the Bob Sanders syndrome. They play so physical they hurt themselves. The Chargers could be toast just because the Raiders beat up their O Line.
Some yahoo on the The NFL Network is still picking the Charger to win the AFC West. Hello, did you watch the game last night? I say the Chiefs have a better chance than the Chargers.
Going to the Raiders/Bears game. That will be a test to see where the Raiders are.

Palmer completed 14 of 21 passes for 299 yards and the two touchdowns, Bush ran for 157 yards on 30 carries, and Moore caught five passes for 123 yards as Oakland gave a glimpse of the kind of offense coach Hue Jackson expects with his new quarterback.

by Mallard Davis on Nov 11, 2011 9:46 AM PST up reply actions
Because the refs suck
In the replay you could even see the ref with the flag in his hand, but he then tucked decided not to throw it. Probably because he realized it was the Raiders who the call would help. My dad and I were practically yelling at the TV (and my dad isn’t even a big football fan).
No Way They Couldn't Call That Shit So They Make Some Stupid Interpretation Of A Rule!!!
by PantyRaider on Nov 11, 2011 11:31 AM PST up reply actions
Here's the Bullshit Explanation I heard PR !!!
Since they were line up in punt formation, even though they fake it, the cover men have no way of knowing it’s a fake since their backs are turned, and their jobs are to block and slow down !!! Therefore they can beat the shit out of a receiver running downfield, whether it’s a fake punt or not, that’s what there out there to do !!! It’s just too damn funny to me, whenever these rules pop up, The Raiders are involved !!! The thing that bugs the shit out of me is, they have rule to protect the defense, when they get out smarted, in this type of situation !!!!
I also wonder ???
If things would’ve been reversed, and that was The Raiders defending, would the Zebra’s had made that call !!!
The Raiders seem to have the NFL making the rules on the fly
That fumble when CP was sacked was damn near an instant replay of when Tom Brady was sacked and the “TUCK” rule was invented. However, the refs called a hell of a game. The touchdown taken away from SD because Lito Shepard had a hand on the ball and was out of bounds was a great call. It just sucks that the NFL makes up the rules at the expense of the Raiders. Whatever, Raiders play like they did last night and the NFL will have to ban rookie recievers, back up Running Backs, and Veteran QB’s traded mid season cuz look out, here come the Silver and Black.

Imagine if you were a fan of a team that actually bought into that!?!

I jnow you did this for clipper but....
Aweful!!!! Just plain aweful that you would put our team on there with those other organizations! Its like a chart that shows you how organizations rank from the top down. Stars in top right corner from “GREAT!”, moving counterclockwise, to “REPULSIVE!”

Yeah it's pretty cool.
I pimped one all day today on a t-shirt I got from old navy of all places while shopping with my lil girl for her some clothes. Was leaving and saw it and had to have it! Seemed like people were making comments to me all day today about how good we were doing this year. I wear my gear all year every year and it feels good to finally hear positives again

MoonMan. you do good work but RAIDERS deserve better ....
they should not be put beside those other organizations. how about a real good one but put the A’s (or Cards), Grizzlies, and Vols up there with the Raiders.

The college team is Cal
for the Bay Area… UC Berkeley, right? Possibly Stanford if your a 49er fan.
AFC West Assassins...
No man, Frisco is for the 9ers and the Raiders have the rest of the Bay Area, and that includes San Jose, etc.
At least, that is what I experienced at both schools (was trained at both schools).

Gotta Love it
how Denarius just lit up those Cumgarbalers! Vincent Jackson was quiet and Denarius made me mad that I started Jacoby over him for my fantasy team let’s hope he goes HAM against the Vikings next week.
"To be a Raider, is not to do what everyone tells you to do, but instead do what you think is right." -Al Davis
No doubt
catching the back half of the ball is something that is rarely seen and Ive seen DeNarius do it two times now. That takes incredible hand strength and concentration, I’m very impressed.
Right after we drafted him and all the dumb ass pundits said that the Raiders had drafted another speedster with no hands, I went and looked DeNarius up on You tube and what I saw reminded me of Tim Brown and I said so here at the time. He still reminds me of Brown the way he catches everything near him and he has the speed Timmy had before his knee injury.
This kid is a true find and an absolute “Al Davis” steal as a 5th round pick!
Additionally, being drafted in the 5th round he has a huge chip on his shoulder to prove everyone wrong that passed him by and he’s said as much.
You Go DeNarius!…Show the world how the best receiver from last years draft was drafted in the 5th round out of Tennessee!
"Now I know what your thinking, did he fire six shots or only five. Ive forgotten myself in all this excitement, but being that this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off, you have to ask your question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk!"

It's great seeing the offense starting to gel.
Those couple of turnovers were unfortunate, but they happen when the QB gets blindsided. Something Palmer will probably be more aware of as the season progresses. And hey, the Defense actually showed up this week. Would be nice if they hadn’t taken Sunday off in preparation for this game. Hopefully next Sunday they’ll be healthier and ready to go. AP is going to be a bitch to shut down.
Always knew Moore was special ever since we drafted him.
Another man we should be excited with is Taiwan Jones, who still reminds me of chris johnson. he had a few great runs (one was called back because of a holding call). Him and Moore are looking to be very good pickups.
On to moore though, he showed what I want in receivers: Route running, Speed, and Hands. He has them all. Also, he has CONCENTRATION. Very important when it comes to reeling in big catches. Him and Palmer are going to have a sweet connection.

I also like that fact..
that one of the commentators stated that CP3 and TJ84 helped teach Moore how to beat the press and get some separation..

Sweet. I knew that TJ would bring good veteran leadership on the WR core.
We needed it there.

Eating his words now. Great win last night!!!!! I was watching at my amigos house (full of charger fans and raider haters). It was awesome, he was respectful after the loss though.

Great play by the Rook
He was amazing last night. The catches, the concentration, the separation, and the veteran like ability to break off a route and get open. I would have liked to see DHB more, I feel the kid has earned it, but it is great to see Moore play to his abilities. He will get better too. Great win.

Face of the Raiders
It’s weird that in three weeks time CP3 has become the face of the Raiders. I could watch his post game interview 100 times.
ex-bengali but longtime CP fan and new Raiduh fan....
As i originally posted, CP is an exceptional QB and his performance over the last couple of weeks is just a hint at what he can do IF the receivers run accurate routes something O-Stinko could not/would not do with CP. O-Stink, now in NE, has been exposed as a fraud.
It is VERY gratifying to see CP throw as well as he did vs Chargers – no arm strength problem whatsoever. The local media has been slamming CP but gives O-stinko a pass for his respinsibility of CP’s high interception.
Carson is ALWAYS a class act. Note when he was asked to slam cincy’s lack of speed at WR vs Raiduhs, he chose to ONLY compliment his new core of receivers. In addition, CP3 was very classy & clear in giving praise to his OL, the RB and the entire defense.
Carson is a true TEAM player – unlike his former teamate, head coach and owner/GM in Cincy.
Oakland is very lucky to get Carson and he has stated he feels very blessed to have landed there.
Go Carson! Go Raiduhs!
Thank me later.

"Carter's 25-game hitting streak isn't any normal streak. He's 46 for 97 (.474 average) during the run, adding 16 walks and compiling 81 total bases in the process. I'm out of superlatives for what he's doing." - Kevin Goldstein

Mr. Wow
is the steal of the draft.
Just as Mr. Vehldeer was last year.
All Raiders runningbacks
and fullbacks are ave over 4 yards a carry.
This guys is awesome
He makes it look so easy.
The Autumn wind is a Raider
Pillaging just for fun
He'll knock you 'round and upside down
And laugh when he's conquered and won.
Moore is another reason that secondaries are going to be so confused as to who they should double-cover.
Looks like our receiving corps is going to be dangerous for years to come.
for as long as we've waited for what we finally have now
we deserve it! and as a bonus we get a QB that can make these kids shine, it’s gonna be fun to watch!
