Key Raider Players not practicing
Per Steve Corkran (Twitter), the following key Raiders are not on the field to start practice
Darius Heyward-Bey (no neck brace though)
Denarius Moore (in walking boot)
No word on Jarvis Moss yet, but Groves was very concerned for him after Sunday's game, asking followers to pray for Moss' health and speedy recovery.
This means depleted roster at skill positions and across the board defensively
RB1 Michael Bush
RB2 Rock Cartwright
RB3 none
WR1 Chaz Schilens
WR2 Louis Murphy
WR3 TJ Houshmandzadeh
WR4 none
RE Trevor Scott
DT Tommy Kelly
NT John Henderson
DL none
If healthy elsewhere, Raiders could slide Wimbley in at RE, but LB corp is depleted so they would have to play nickel. Only problem is they played with only 3 healthy S and 3 healthy CBs on Sunday and it would be tough to expect Huff or CJ back in the defensive backfield any time soon.
This game could be rough even with Caleb Hanie or Kyle Orton starting.

Not cool.
Im just really hoping for McFadden/Ford/DHB all to be read for next week at least.
"Carter's 25-game hitting streak isn't any normal streak. He's 46 for 97 (.474 average) during the run, adding 16 walks and compiling 81 total bases in the process. I'm out of superlatives for what he's doing." - Kevin Goldstein
Hue expects DHB to be back.
And Seymour will most likely play. Moore gone is bad, but Ford has an outside shot at being back.
You see how quickly we went throught the WRs. Chaz, Housh and Gator-arms. Reece is essential and most of all Boss and Myers

What I find unsettling about this is that the Bears defense is really tough
Just like Houston’s. In the Texans game we had DHB, Moore, Ford, Run DMC, and Bush and yet we couldn’t get a first down in almost the entire first half. We converted only 3 3rd downs in the entire game. Jano made 4 field goals for us that game, 3 from 50+ yards and now he ain’t healthy either.
Now we’re without these weapons and it’s going to be a real challenge to put up points on the board. Not saying that we can’t do it, but the game just became that much harder.

Huff is fine
He played against Minnesota
The Autumn wind is a Raider
Pillaging just for fun
He'll knock you 'round and upside down
And laugh when he's conquered and won.
Seymour and Houston??
wtf? When it rains, it pours. Knew McFadden wouldn’t be back, and doubted DHB would be, but half our DL? Maybe it’s time to just convert the Coliseum into a MASH unit.
Though "depleted" at RB is becoming debatable
As Bush will pass McFadden in rushing yards this weekend.
we have
our rooks still, you forgot about a bunch of other players that could step in and play receiver. they still have richard gordon, david ausberry, derrick jones, and hell why not throw in marcel reece as a receiver.
It won't be Orton
Kansas City just picked him up off of waivers
"Now I know what your thinking, did he fire six shots or only five. Ive forgotten myself in all this excitement, but being that this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off, you have to ask your question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk!"
Dirty Harry Callahan
Josh McCown?
ESPN is reporting that the Bears signed McCown when they couldn’t get Orton
Hope some of these guys are better soon, you know like by Friday,
Holy crap
Even TJ Housh was too injured to practice today.

they had a baby today.

Just read that...
Good to hear it’s not injury related. However if the Raiders plan to lean on him heavily, wouldn’t it be nice to see him get as many reps in practice as possible? I know he knows CP, but the guy still needs to gets playing time to get rid of rust after being signed off the street.

I dont think he will be used that much
CP hit Boss and Meyers very well and the way to attack the Bears D is with TEs, so I expect them to be CPs top targets with Schillens being the top WR and Reece and Bush getting a nice amount of passes their way.

Maybe Raiders have to use Terrelle Pryor as a WR...
Wouldn’t that be something.

What happened to Moore? Is he expected to be out a long time?

Hard to say, he's wearing a boot like they gave DMC and Henderson last year.

That doesnt sound good
Last week he only had 1 catch so maybe Palmer is getting used to playing without him in practice. Boss is now huge for us.

Thought I heard Hue refer to Denarius when he said, "he'll come out of it tomorrow"
I expect Moore back for Miami, at least.

The way Miami is playing at the moment
We are really going to need them. Its going to be a tough game. Didnt we lose to them last time as well?

Thanks
Bush has to be a wrecking train Sunday if we want to have a shot at winning. Seymore played a bit last game but didnt practice, we might need him to help stop the run against the Bears as well.

Sucks
Next man up is getting old. One things for sure. They’re playing hard out there.
AFC West Assassins...
T.O. to OAKLAND?
On CSN.com they have a video of D.Moore & Taiwan Jones walking across the practice field, and in the background, it sounds like to me is someone keep saying "T.O. called" and throughout you hearing what sounds like "T.O."
someone take a look & listen and tell me what you think…

Raider Nation..........we need all hand's on deck or get the hell off the ship! That's the way it's gonna be around here from now on! If trading away a couple of first round draft picks can get you a proven franchise quarterback like Carson Palmer and a legitimate shot at going to the playoffs, then fine...............you know why? Because this team is standing behind it's motto & legacy, "Just Win Baby!" and "Commitment to Excellence" instead of "Suck for Luck" & "Give Up". Imagine if you were a fan of a team that actually bought into that!?!

I don't know if he will be ready Sunday
What I read was that he was doing very light work with Rod Martin (trainer) that had very low impact. If he can be ready, that would be fantastic. If he’s not ready by Sunday, at least he looks to be on track for the Miami game. Ford looks like he will be available for Miami game as well as he also was getting a little light work in on the side.
Taiwan Jones wasn’t at practice at all and DMC was still not doing a thing on the sidelines.
Good news is that DHB did a little more in practice today. Hopefully we at least get him back. If we can get DHB and Moore back that would be fantastic.
I will be honest, I am concerned for our rushing attack. Rock might be our 2nd option, unless the team decides to run with a big set, running Tonga at FB and Reece at HB a little bit. Can you imagine LBs going against 2 guys over 245 lbs?

Pray it doesn't come down to Tonga
