Bears vs. Raiders Injury Report: Oakland May Have Enough Players to Avoid Forfeit

The Raiders injury list is the Energizer bunny. It just keeps growing, and growing, and growing, and growing. Jacoby Ford, Darren McFadden and Jarvis Moss are out this weekend.

How problematic those absences are depends on how many of the players that are questionable can play. The Raiders have nine players that are questionable. And that could present a real problem for the receivers and the defensive line.

DHB and Denarius Moore are both questionable. That could leave receiving duties to Schilens, Murphy, TJ, and...well, that's it. Unless Pryor gets some snaps at WR. On a side note, how the hell is Schilens still healthy? Amazing. This game is a big opportunity for him.

He should get plenty of reps and plenty of chances to produce.

On the D-line, it looks like Big Dick will again be limited. Lamarr Houston also has an ailing knee, which finds him as questionable. If Houston can't go, that will leave DE duties to Dez Bryant, Trevor Scott, and Kamerion Wimbley. It also means that John Henderson and Tommy Kelly will have to play a ton of snaps at DT.

It's almost funny

How all our wide receivers are beat up in someway and the guy who is ALWAYS injured is one of the few who are HEALTHY. Anyway I wish Chaz the best of luck, hopefully he shows that sack of shit Sapp he can play football.

Can we go 1 week without another injury?

Seriously, can we just beat Chicago and not add to that list? I wince every time one of our guys takes any kind of hit at this point.

with the way the Bears hit people i find it highly unlikely sadly

This is true

I dread Melton, Idonije and Peppers coming through the line at Palmer.

Sad

how good would we be with a healthy team?

I expect most of the questionables to play though.

The DE situation is dire. Forte' favors off tackle - right where Moss (formerly Shaughnessy) and Houston defend.

Desmond is doing a terrific job moving from DT to DE but Seymour is ailing, as Rich noted, that leaves Tommy and Big John to maintain the DL middle for the entire game. Obviously, this game will be won or lost by the stoutness of our OL. Either our OL plays tough 4 quarters and allows our power rushing to work and give Carson time or we slowly fall behind and we know how many points we score later in games.

Well.

It’s germane to note that in games where it’s tied or close at half (Houston and NY) we have scored well in the second half and won. So I want either a 24-7 lead or a 17-17 tie at the half. Nothing in between.

by ROFLCOPTER16 on Nov 25, 2011 5:01 PM PST up reply actions

17-17 is most likely. Again, if our OL plays as hard in the 2nd Half we shall prevail.

Only If Their Replacement "QB" Shows Up...Not Really Likely...

The rest of the team will no doubt amp up for this one knowing full well that life depends upon it with the loss of “J”…But at the same time in the back of their minds has got to be the reality of their “PO” hopes on hold sense they failed to land Orton…How this plays out mentally for them will determine allot…Should they fall behind I suspect there may be a tendency to just fold???…Come-Backs are NOT in their future!!!

What's Funny Is The "SD" Fans Already In "Melt Down Mode"!!!...Seasons Over!!

I sent some “Best Wishes” but all they look at now is the Draft and getting Turner run…They don’t even seem to think they will stop Tebow…Really strange…

J-Man has a post up with them so I left Spark behind!!

I Never Go But I'm Following That Tebownco Around Their Schedule...

After that whole “BS” session with “RodneyA” and “Bronco55” it’s the least I can do…Looking to see if they try that challenge “BS” with someone else so I can trump it what what they did here as a warning to other fans…So far they never show up…

I Think It's All The Anime??....Twice...

But they didn’t delete another time so maybe it’s taken as a religious display which is sorta funny but both references were to the Dark Powers giving them a blessing…LoL!!

One to lift the "Curse of Tebow’ and the other to gain power for their Bolts from some Witchy Chick…

For me that’s a complete joke but some may take it a little more serious than me….I don’t see any mystical powers in the Dark Forces and such…Just humor is all I see in this type of crap…But???

So I talked About It Instead Of Posting The Pics:
So What Do You Attribute This To If Not Jinxed Or Cursed??

The last time you won was when a Tebow pass was deflected during his staged comeback and you haven’t won sense…5 consecutive weeks??…Very very uncharacteristic of your team in recent history…

Now from reading comments it’s apparent that lack of talent and injuries are targets for the blame as well as "Turnerites"!!..But I gotta disagree…Your team has been consistently chosen as the favorite to run the "PO"s based upon the perceived talent pool…And when it comes to injuries no one in the AFCW or prolley entire NFL can compare to what the Raiders have been enduring while still winning…So no points for those tears…

It is rather funny to view…Sense your takeaway "V" from the Great Tebow he has led his team to "V" all but once including that pitiful game against us even taking down the Jets along the way while you have been powerless to keep your Bolts glowing!!!…Your losses have been their gains!!….Now you find yourselves in the Dumper looking forwards to the Draft as savior…

Time for your team to stand up and save itself…No one will do that for you as we trample upon your remains…Your at home being invaded by a "Donkey" on a mission…Sell out and Amp Up!!…Get that Cursed Monkey off your backs or be ye warned come week 17 we shall give you no Quarter!!

Damn that is a damning

There is definitely more to this than the lockout, the fact we have been able to battle these injuries to a 6-4 record says a lot about Hue and his ‘next man up’ philosophy.

Rookie Says He's Ready To Go...
Raiders | David Ausberry ready if needed in Week 12
Fri, 25 Nov 2011 18:05:54 -0800

Oakland Raiders TE David Ausberry said Friday, Nov. 25, that he knows about 75 to 80 percent of the plays for wide receivers and would be ready if needed on the outside. The converted TE was a wide receiver in college at USC.
Raiders | Louis Murphy, Chaz Schilens to see plenty of action
Fri, 25 Nov 2011 18:05:02 -0800

Oakland Raiders WRs Louis Murphy and Chaz Schilens are expected to see plenty of snaps in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears with WR Jacoby Ford (foot) out, and WR Denarius Moore (foot) likely headed that way.
Raiders | More set involving both TEs in Week 12?
Fri, 25 Nov 2011 18:06:16 -0800

The Oakland Raiders might use more sets involving both tight ends in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears with a shortage of wideouts. TE Brandon Myers and Kevin Boss might be used more.
Raiders | Marcel Reece to be used downfield?
Fri, 25 Nov 2011 18:06:44 -0800

Oakland Raiders FB Marcel Reece might be put in positions to be a downfield receiver in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears with a shortage of wideouts due to injury

– Richard Seymour (knee) practiced for the first time since the San Diego game, was limited, but should play in some role. The same cannot be said for defensive end Jarvis Moss, listed as out with a hamstring injury. Defensive end Lamarr Houston (knee) practiced for the second straight day and will likely face Chicago.
Although Darrius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore were both listed as questionable to face Chicago, visual evidence suggests Heyward-Bey is the more likely of the two players to get on the field Sunday.

Heyward-Bey (neck) was limited in practice and was seen running and catching passes.

A Bears supporting friend informs me that the back-up QB is pretty mobile

I don’t remember much from him stepping into the Championship game when the fat kid from Two & a Half Men felt a bit poorly, but have a vague inclination that he didn’t do too badly. We haven’t looked too great against mobile QBs so far.
