The Raiders lost a game they surely should have won and most importantly Carson Palmer and the other Raider players know that. As Richard Seymour put it “We knew exactly what was going to happen, and they ran exactly what we thought they were going to run and we didn’t get the job done. That’s the disappointing part.” The Raiders basically collasped Defensively in the second half and I expect to see a renewed focus and effort defensely the remainder of the season.
Carson Palmer as we all know is a work in progress, his 3 interceptions in this game changed the momentum and gave the Donkeys freebies you just can't give up and expect to win. Expect Carson to improve next game against the Chargers. The Raiders wanted this one back, this is a game that exposed something we have all known, the Raiders must play more disciplined football to win the division. The penalties, the interceptions, defensive players out of position, the missed tackles, the Raider players got a wake up call against the Donkeys, now its time to pay attention to the details and execute on the field for the Raiders..
Expect to see the Raiders play harder the rest of the season, we have a short week then meet San Diego, at this point we must win our divisional games, and this has NOW become the most important game this season, with losses to KC and Denver this is a must win for the Raiders. 4-4 with 8 games left means we must play our best football to make the playoffs.
I am a believer in what our team can do, now it is time for the Raiders to make their move if we are to go to the playoffs. We have the talent to compete with any team in the league if our guys execute, that is the key. With that said, any thoughts on our next game, especially from our football guys...
