No Leadership
Its lack of leadership on defense!!! It seems they are all playing individually and lack a definite leader on the field. Mclain still bites to hard on the play action and puts himself out of position to make a play. We need someone with the likes of Ray Lewis, a field general that will hold other players accountable. We have alot of talent on defense but its misused and no clear cut leader. We need someone on the field to lead and a Defensive Coordinator that knows what he is doing. After Sporanos firing in Miami, we should bring in Mike Nolan or Jack Del Rio. Then we can build a bully and once again become the Champions that we know we can be!

McClain's attitude reminds me of JaBust; so he needs a fire lit under his ass so we can
improve the defense.
Our tackling is horrendous as well
Every man for himself...
McClain isn't the only person we need to be upset about
McClain play has been bad but to say he is the main reason we aren’t good on defense is crazy. We don’t have th players to run what ever we are doing. We don’t want to blitz but our Front 4 isn’t good enough to dominate week after week. When we blitz our Secondary can’t hold up. Our LB core is lost. On Offense we want to be a pass first team as of late but our Oline is built for playaction our Wr’s aren’t ready. I really don’t want Palmer throwing a ton cause he will turn the ball over. We need to hire Tim Brown or Jerry Rice which ever as WR’s coach. Bring in Tony Sparano as the OLine coach. Hope and Pray KC hires Josh McDaniels so we can try to hire Romeo Crennel.
I don't blame everyone for all of the McClain bashing and I am pissed at him too but...
I also think he is a kid. He is only 22 years old with many years left to play. If he improves he would be a late bloomer, and I don’t discount the possibility that his play will improve. In many of his games he has hobbled with an injured ankle and it would be a better gauge of his talent without the injuries.
Doc
This forum is wound too tight after 3 consecutive losses. Anything you can proscribe? I would have suggested something but none of them seem like the Tai Chi types.
No question D lacks leadership. Yesterday Seymour came to play and our DL, at least, had a generally good game.
Renaldo tries to direct people but obviously doesn’t have a clue. When your MLB is a joke who is the last one to know it and continues to act like Lord of the D, who is going to step up and lead in that scenario and with Bresnahan as DC?! That said, Lito Sheppard does try to be a leader but he’s a knew guy and a mere CB.

I'm not surprised Ricardo is doing a poor job of directing people
he’s got the Chuckles the Weak in his ear.
Chuckles has to go, along with the scheme and be replaced by someone with an actual plan.
Chuckles defense looks like they have no idea what they’re doing out there…probably because they don’t, and by his alinements it looks like he doesn’t either.
I’m hoping once we get a new GM and a real DC with an actual plan that it will be easier on everybody especially Reymundo.
Maybe even change to a 3-4 where Curry cam help Menudo with the inside, Wimbley and Shaunessey can be the OLB’s, Kelly at NT and Seymour and Houston at DT with the rest backing them up.
It’s just a thought for next year!
"Now I know what your thinking, did he fire six shots or only five. Ive forgotten myself in all this excitement, but being that this is the 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and could blow your head clean off, you have to ask your question. Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk!"
Dirty Harry Callahan
Shaughnessy at OLB is an idea that has intrigued me since his pick in preseason against SF (when he dropped into
Fire Zone coverage). Matt is rangy and an excellent tackler. If we went 3-4, or even if we don’t, I’d like to see him playing strong-side.
