Sorry to start this so early off the heartbreaking loss, but we have a short week this week.
The title says it all - loser is eliminated from playoff contention. Its hard to believe that we are in this position after the roller-coaster seasons that both of our teams have had. So much has happened since the Chiefs seemed to jump back into the playoff race with the shut-out victory in Oakland. The Chiefs promptly fell off the wagon, only to find out that so did the rest of the AFC West. The Raiders looked like they would run away with the division for a while, until something called Tebow jumped up and stole the reins.
Injuries galore, new QBs abound, this has been one wild and crazy season, and it's about to pretty much end for one of us.
As usual, I assume that most Raiders fans will pick the Raiders, and most Chiefs fans will pick the Chiefs, so rather than start the discussion off with my prediction (23-17 Chiefs), I want to know how you guys think the Palmer pick up has worked out for you so far? I'll admit I haven't paid too much attention to the other teams in the division in the last 6 weeks or so, other than the constant Tebow dreck shoved down our throats, so I haven't seen if the problems you have had the last few weeks have come from his play or not.
As for our QB, it was nice to see one that could throw downfield accurately, and that could read through 3 or 4 receivers before he started dancing like he had to pee. I know I probably don't speak for the majority of Chiefs fans, but I hope he sticks around for a while.
Interesting note before we start the discussion: The Chiefs' last win at home against the Raiders? 2006. That means we haven't won the last 4 times we played the Raiders in Arrowhead.
