Three Oakland Raiders Named to 2012 AFC Pro Bowl Team
NFL.com is reporting that DT Richard Seymour, P Shane Lechler, and K Sebastian Janikowski have been named to the 2012 AFC Pro Bowl team. Speculation leading up to today's announcement also had DT Tommy Kelly, CB Stanford Routt, FB Marcel Reece, and RB/ST Rock Cartwright in the running for Pro Bowl selections. I think a few other Raiders will end up on the AFC roster before all is said and done.
Congratulations to these Oakland Raiders for making the 2012 Pro Bowl team, and let's hope they can't go to Hawaii because they're preparing in Indianapolis.

Rivers? Wow. Plenty of questionable choices this year. A lot of snubs. Congrats to the raiders that made it!! Pretty sure more raiders will go for alternates or due to injury or the Super Bowl. Does anyone know if Andre Johnson will be back for the playoffs? What I’d the raiders get the wild card and they face a healthy Andre and foster?? Not good…

Congrats to the clearly deserving few
I wish I could muster energy to vote on pro bowls, but I haven’t had that energy since we’ve truly fielded playoff caliber teams, and usually the quality of the players beyond the stats that ultimately earns my vote for the pro bowl is the individual’s abilities to lift the performance of their teammates and their squads to championship levels, and we often know the look of these championship performance teams well before it’s set in stone.
Here’s to looking forward to maybe having that energy again next year, and I’ll vote for lots and lots of our guys! Until then…GO RAIDERS!

Champ Bailey? Statistically Routt is top 6 in the league. Bailey doesn’t even appear in the top 13.

I have no idea why Chump is in there... I could think of about 6 corners whom have been better this year
It is all about politics anymore. Just like the stupid MLB all star game. Big names get in no matter how badly they play. Chump, Gates, Rivers, and Weddle are all “names” not players with deserving stats (weddle does have a lot of ints, but get burned way more than the picks). Leech shouldn’t have been selected over Reece IMO… But it is all about names, and what team you play for. Balt is winning, so in goes Vonta. Raiders are mediocre, so Reece suffers even though he has 3 times the rushing yards. Vonta has 14 catches for 62 yards with no TDs, and Reece has 25 for 273 yards and 2 TDs. OAK #6 rushing offense, Balt #14… So it really is about players names and teams more than actually doing something on the field
