27 years ago classic shootout at the Orange Bowl: Raiders 45 Miami 37

Probably one of the best games QB Marc Wilson played agianst any team. Huge defensive plays made by Raiders defensive line, CB's and LBs.

When all us older farts wax eloquently about 'those days' it just really mirrors the history being made this season. The last stand in Houston after Al's death with the Raider D having only 10 men on the field; a classic Missing Man Formation resulting in the INT that ended the game. That's right up there with the 'Holy Roller' IMO. The people who never saw us win those SBs or saw those games should enjoy the history and classic Raider wins in the Now. Youre watching the rebuilding of the Raiders and there's more where that came from.

Janikowski's 6 field goals, four from over 40 yds. to help us beat the stingy D of the Bears.

Last seasons 59-14 pounding of the Donks, another historical Day.

Oakland has a rich history and probably more lore and stories than mst of the clubs that have been established longer. The Raiders.com website has the total breakdown of the LA Raiders v. Miami game at this link: Enjoy....
