This Raiders team on Sunday played like a team that felt like they had a loss to give, didn't they?

Well freaking look at what just happened to our 'making the playoffs' odds, according to Football Outsiders ...

We just dropped 37.5% in terms of our odds of making the playoffs from this ONE FRIGGIN LOSS. We gone from over 62% probability of making it, down to a meager 24.7%. We are down to a 1 in 4 chance of going, according to their very in-depth calculations and simulations, based on how all the teams are playing, all the teams upcoming matchups, the tie-breaker rules, etc.

On top of that, by FO's measurements, we are now the 21st best team in the league overall in terms of weighted team efficiency (offense, defense, and ST), behind every other team w/a winning record, and even behind Philly and Miami and Carolina, who are all 4-8.

And, making up the majority of our losses in terms of playoff probability, predictably ... is the Tebowncos, whose odds shot up by 27.6%, all the way up to 74% chances of going. And the Jets, Cincy, and Titans all have about 10x higher probability of snatching that a WC spot than the Raiders, who have but a 2.4% chance of grabbing one. In fact, EACH OF THEM have a better chance of making the P.O's as of now ... than we do.

Now, granted, these numbers would probably swing back to where they were last week should we pull out a miracle and beat GB, whilst another minor miracle occurs with the Bears beating Denver, but ... Jesus H. Christ on a Bicycle ... that lost was CATASTROPHIC to our chances, statistically-speaking, of making the Playoffs.

All of us fans who really follow the standings, know the tie-breaker rules, watch the schedules closely ... we all knew this game was as close to being 'must-win' as a game could be w/o actually literally being 'must-win' ... so it really won't come as a huge surprise to most of us how bad this loss was for our Playoff hopes ...

I just hope the guys on this team who decided to take the f***ing week off last Sunday realize just how royally our season has (probably) been hosed by their abysmal performance (and/or being a huge source of off-the-field distraction ... yeah, you know who the f*ck you are).
