This is one debate that is getting tiring. When a team loses a game and has key players out, is that an excuse for losing or a valid reason for losing? What I mean is - is that just something fans tell themselves to feel better about their team that is just garbage anyway, or is it an actual reason that losses occur in the NFL and does not mean your team is garbage?
My logic after the jump -
Almost every 'W' the Raiders have had this season has come against a team with some injury they can point to:Denver - no one too important
Jets - Mangold
Texans - Johnson
Browns - Hillis went down
Chargers - O-Line
Vikings - AP
Bears - Cutler
That said:
Almost every W we have had someone out also:
Denver - Just Boss, Mitchell, and Murph on report...
Jets - Ford, Mitchell, and Murph
Texans - Shaughnessy and CJ
Browns - Campbell goes down early
Chargers - DMC, Ford goes down
Vikings - DMC, Ford, Moore goes down
Bears - DMC, Ford, Moore
No need to talk about injuries on our losses. I don't care what someone's position is on injuries being a reason or an excuse - I just think we should be consistent. Pick a side and stay on it Ride or Die.
