Oakland Raider Fans In Atlanta? The Nation Keeps It Real at Famous Sports Bar & Palace
For those of you who don't know, I am on the road, going from bar to bar around the US and documenting my travels for SB Nation.
While on this journey I came across http://famouspubsports.com/ in Buckhead.
This is the Oakland Raider bar of Atlanta and the reason that I am writing about them is because I was informed that they recently held a memorial for a young Oakland Raider fan that passed away. In memory of him, they got together, about 20 of them, and drank a tall PBR in his memory.
The more that I travel this Country I find that WE ARE EVERYWHERE and I hope that this site connects us in some small or large way.
Peace ATL Raider Nation!
- Saint

Raider Nation sticks together
I remember when I went to see some friends in South Carolina, I drove from Atlanta to South Carolina and I saw a silver car with a fat Raiders logo driving around the ATL. I remember pointing out to my Girlfriend that’s why we’re THE NATION. We’re everywhere. Much love to the Raider fans all over the world.

You are a good ambassador for the Raider Fan-base, Saint. How are they taking our recent moves in Atlanta?
Do they think along the same lines as we do? If not, persuade them our way and/or lead them to S&BP.

You, Saint, have the coolest job!
(Although I’ve recently taken to gyms rather than bars.)
Will toast one in honor of our departed Raider brother, may his soul rest in peace
It’s one of the things I always love being anywhere else; we truly are everywhere.

Which reminds me to get more jerseys to wear when traveling ... otherwise opportunities to meet and interact with farflung
brethren and sisteren are missed.

Yes Indeed!!
I live in the Stone Mountain are and we are indeed everywhere. All the other football teams claim they have a nation (Steelers, Bengals, etc) but there have and always shall be one nation and that is the RAIDER NATION!!! All the other copycats we are flattered.
My heartfelt condolences to the fallen Raider Nation member.

Raider Nation
I grew up in New England in the 50’s and 60’ , 70’s was in Greece, 80’s back in Boston
untill 1992 when I moved back too Athens ,Greece. I’v alwaws been a Raider fan, and I
hurt when they don’t win.The Nation knows that we have been cheated in the past…..
Champion Ship Games against Pit. and Denver and New England……. Thats three more
Super Bowls that the Raiders would have participated in, and probably won…… But what
I see is the Rebuilding of a Power House , From the Top Down , 2011 is going to be the year we start to Dominate teams again as we have shown that we can do in games last year. As I said at the start I am in Greece now , forever a Raider Fan …. Go Raiders !!!!
Just read Jim Otto's account of that Pittsburgh playoff game. The Refs were terrified to nullify the illegal play. The Immaculate
Reception was anything but. Two receivers clearly contacted the ball in succession. Jim saw it all clearly and Jim Otto cannot tell a lie. (plus we have the video to torture ourselves with forever
