The second coming of "The Snake", the "Chosen One" or the QB who would bing the "Raider Swagger" back were how each of us saw Todd Marinovich when he was selected out of USC with the 24th pick in 1991. Unfortunately football wasn't his own passion, but, probably that of his father who pushed him to be an elite quarterback when his son may have just been happier painting, surfing and smoking ganga at a drum circle in Venice or San Diego.
Fortunately for Todd, after years of getting into trouble with drugs and surviving his rebellion he is now doing what he likes best. Todd is painting and has opened his own online gallery. And, you know what? He's pretty dang good.
Much better than he was as a Quarterback for Oakland:
Known for being a drug addict and playing high many times, Todd only played in 8 games, going 3-5, with 8 TDs and 9 INTs. All of that for 2.25 million dollars. But, believe it or not, he was a steal compared to the next 3!
I hope that Todd has found happiness, because he deserves it. Good Luck Todd!
