(Here is an update with photos of the Grill Iron gang A's Tailgate 2011)

Last night I missed my first Opening Night in 11 seasons as I was on business and travelling back from Texas. (It was odd hearing all of the radio stations talking Ranger baseball and I actually met the mythical character, Ranger fan)

I know that I am not giving you much advance notice, but, I will be there tonight and tomorrow. In fact, tonight is a combined Raider/A's tailgate where my boys and girls from the Grill Iron Gang will be throwing down with the Left Field Bleacher crew.

The rules are always the same as when Gary D made up the saying, "If you go home hungry, it's your own damn fault". Just bring something to grill, drink, munch or if you have nothing, bring your appetite.

It has been a long cold winter and I am ready to get my Oakland A's groove on. Who's with me?

It will be in the usual spot, if you don't know where that is, then just look on the front page of the Contra Costa Times where our friends are waving their flags and cheering for Oakland. If you don't get the Times, just walk to the front of the lot near where the McAffee sign used to be and look for a lot of silver and black and gold and green.
