Nnamdi Asomugha is Rated 18th Best Player By His Peers

Stay connected for news and updates

This is certainly a bitter sweet post. Nnamdi Asomugha was ranked 18th on the NFL Network's top 100 players. I don't think I need to say why it is bitter sweet, but I will anyway. I can't think of Nnam without thinking of what the Raiders are possibly on the verge of losing—and that is the 18th best player in the NFL.

What is cool about this ranking is that it is not done by observers of the game, but from the players themselves. And the respect for Nnamdi from players around the league is wildly obvious. Just check out the video that accompanies the countdown.

The Broncos Brandon Lloyd gives a players perspective on what it is like to go against Nnamdi. Lloyd spends a lot of time talking about Nnamdi's intelligence, and his ability to pick up on receivers tendencies, and consequently the effort he has to put in to change those tendencies. If he comes back or not, it is a great video, and Nnamdi will always be remembered as a great Raider.
