Beware
Shane Lechler,DHB,Tommy Kelly,Hiram Eugene and Thomas Howard you should all be ready to re-structure or be cut. The Raiders are close to contending and not one of you have come close to earning your money. If Al will let Nnamdi walk because of money all of you can easily be replaced. We are 10-15 mil over the cap and need linemen and recievers, so unless you can pass block or catch(DHB) BEWARE

Meh
Lechler and Kelly have earned their $$$$, Kelly just recently though he’s a Monster in the middle with Seymour. Everybody else you just mentioned, your on point with.
ur right
but lechler is way over paid 4 a malcontent punter
by scarfacenson on Jul 26, 2011 3:49 PM PDT up reply actions
imo, he can be as malcontent as he wants
as long as he kicks that thing 50+ yards everytime.
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
any body who thinks lechler aint worth $4mil does not understand the the importance of feild position , without lechler keeping the offenses pinned inside the 20 you can take at least 3 wins off our record last year hes earning his keep
Kelly has under performed his contract but came on strong last year and dont forget it takes a year or two to completely recover from the injury he suffered , i dont care about eugene either way but his salary aint breaking the bank and Al didnt sign him to cut him 12 weeks later he gives us good minutes off the bench , howard could eat a dick for all i care but that wont save us much money , we need a long term deal with wimbley to spread that franchise money out over a few years , after all Al’s done for Kelly the least he could do is renegotiate his deal to clear some cap room but the biggest salary on our book taking up space for 750yrds in two years is heyward bey , how come that lifeless lump of crap aint on your radar for the hatchet
DHB
salary cap hit is only 1 mil this year
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 27, 2011 9:05 AM PDT up reply actions
lol a million here a million there and pretty soon you got real money , fuck DHB's 350 yrds a year in the neck lol
but with that 1 mil
you get a former 1st round WR with great speed, works very hard, and has tons of potential. This looks like it may be DHBs breakout year with all the work he puts in, the time he spent working with Campbell, Hue finding new ways to use him kinda like he did with Mcfadden, and Campbell having more time to throw behind a improved line(especially if we get Gaither). It looks good for DHB.
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 27, 2011 9:27 AM PDT up reply actions
yeah
but my point is, its not worth it to cut him when hes only gonna be making 1 mil, and he has the potential to be great.
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 28, 2011 1:22 AM PDT up reply actions
totally understand
DHB is #2 on the list and Lechler isnt pinnin people inside the 20 like he used to a good clue about lechlers future is having pakulak on the roster

You should definitely cut Kelly, Heyward-Bey, and Lechler
Ryan Succop will be the kicker for the AFC in the 2011 Pro Bowl
take kelly out of that
and i shall agree with you. XD
and eugene.

i know your not a raiders fan
so check kelly’s production last year. its the equivolent of the chiefs cutting someone like flowers…
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
I wonder how much Oakland would owe if DHB was to be cut for the remainder of his contract.
If all he costs is $1 million against the cap this year then it should be a no-brainer, bye bye Disgustingly Horrible Ball-player.
Trust No One
Studies show stress can kill you, but don't worry about it.
idk, for only 1 mil id probably keep him....
thats like less than 1% for the payroll. whered you get the numbers though? im curious
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
rotoworld is a great source for contract info
Here is a link for DHB. The majority of DHB’s money came last year. He made around $21 million last year. It is this screwy second year roster bonus thing. He is only owed roughly $5 mil for the next three years, and I don’t think he has any accrued signing bonus for cap hits. Makes him cheap to keep and cheap to cut.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.

I think we'll sign Nnamdi for one year.

disagree
we drafted too many dbs this yr and supposedly signed 1 udfa
by scarfacenson on Jul 26, 2011 4:10 PM PDT up reply actions
we signed a lot of DBs because we have no nickel corner,
and Chris Johnson and Stanford Routt were not performing very well. Checkwa may play Safety, and that leaves CJ, Routt, DVD, and an undrafted free agent we signed. Teams keep 5 CBs on their rosters all the time, seeing as how they also are efficient in special teams.
So I dont think having a few more CBs means Nnamdi will leave.

I also
suspect that Chekwa is an option at FS. I’ve been saying it since we drafted him.
"In football, I root for the Oakland Raiders because they hire castoffs, outlaws, malcontents, and fuck -ups, they have lots of penalties, fights, and paybacks, and because Al Davis told the rest of the pig NFL owners to go get fucked. Someday, the Raiders will be strong again, and they will dip the ball in shit and shove it down the throats of the wholesome, white, heartland teams that pray together and don't deliver late hits." - George Carlin.
same here.

He or DVD will start at FS sometime this season

Forgetting abour McFadden and Ware
So we would have 6 CB’s if Nnamdi leaves, 7 if Checkwa sticks at corner.
This ^
or they can contribute on special teams.

routt
routt was tied for league lead w/ revis in passes defended i thought he performed well since they always threw to his side
by scarfacenson on Jul 27, 2011 11:26 AM PDT up reply actions
but he also gave up a lot of TDs.
he is inconsistent. very inconsistent.

he only gave up
1 more td than revis in 43 more targets, so revis is inconsistent too?
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 27, 2011 11:37 AM PDT up reply actions
I can safely say that 43 more of those targets most of them would be completions.
Revis commanded QBs not to throw to him. QBs threw to routt with success.
He was also among the bottom worst when it comes to YAC allowed(4.9).

QBs HAD to throw at Routt
it was either Routt or Asom. QBs threw at Routt with success? Targeted 99 times, 39 completions,39.4 % burn rate, 5tds. Revis,59 targets 19 completions,33.9% burn rate,4 tds.If they threw at Routt successfully they threw at revis successfully
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 27, 2011 12:29 PM PDT up reply actions
Don't forget that 2 of those 5 touchdowns were not Routt's fault.
Those two touchdowns were well explained in interviews with Routt. Not sure but I think it was on espn.
by RaiderPsycho on Jul 27, 2011 12:31 PM PDT up reply actions
Your right that he got picked on the most.
but Ive seen him get burned quite a bit too. the numbers dont lie, sure, but he didnt show me anything that told me he could be a #1 corner. Maybe he will prove me wrong though but as it is, he is like our Ellis Hobbs. Good #2, but cant be #1. thats how I look at him.

#1
i think hes ready, i think he may be avoided like nnamdi
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 27, 2011 1:15 PM PDT up reply actions
Actually I think you are right... he did.
well then I suppose he would surprise me even more then. Not as bad as I thought he was, but at least he has experience against the #1. But when it comes to full time covering the #1, I think he will not do as well if he did “well” when only covering the #1 half of the time or however many times he did last season. But that is left to be seen i guess, and Im sure the other team would throw to the #2 anyways. lol

and what do you mean
“I can safely say that 43 more of those targets most of them would be completions.” are you talking about revis or Routt?
by RyanTheRaider on Jul 27, 2011 12:30 PM PDT up reply actions
routt.
and judging by the numbers you gave me, it seems to not really be the case. I guess I was over expecting it.

routt played well in a contract year , the trick is will he back it up now that hes rich , i hope so , i actually thought he played better than asomagua last year
i know i know he was hurt and he didnt give up a touchdown , but nearly half of everything thrown to his side was completed , routt was definately matched up on the #1 recievers more i just get nervous considering that last year was the only one in his career he played to potential
we might sign nnamdi
but not for one year. unless he’s feelin really generous towards the raiders..
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
I think he would sign for a year with us.
Although if he had a choice between a year with us, and 6 years with another team, that is left on Nnamdi himself. If he loves the raiders they way we think he does, I won’t be surprised if he returns for one more year, and he can receive a bonus after that if he plays well, or we can sign him to a big contract after that. I think it’s possible.

not that he doesnt love the raiders or anything
i have no idea what he thinks about the team. but to take a one year deal would be to degrade himself. He would be pretty much letting the FO take advantage of him. I think he wouldnt do that just because he knows he deserves more respect.
You either give him a fair market value deal to try and keep him or you dont. You cant just sign superstars to one year/no risk deals, imho
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
the way I try and see it is
is that Nnamdi wants to stay in Oakland. If he thinks after they sign him for a year, and then they’ll pay him the big bucks, then I hope he would do that. Like a franchise tag, and signing the guy next year.

hes gone worse yet he may be a jet , were gona have our hands full just to sign miller , hopefully get gaither and goldson and get under the cap , our front office has its hands full , if we gave routt 11.5mil it will take more to get asomagua or cromarti
jackson said our young corners will have to step up and i beleive him
yeah. its far from likely he will return now.

if he wants to stay in oakland
why would he sign for one year? unless he would prefer a scenario in which he has absolutely no security/leverage…
Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up!!
I would think DHB would be the first in Al's office
I know absolutely nothing about this guy but if he is fast I say sign him up.
Long live Al
I think it's about time we all just agreed that NaS is the greatest of all-time.
definitely
no way a #4 can get that much $. as a rule i say we dont draft a rec. before 3rd rnd. from here on out

DHB is just over a $1 million cap hit this year
and Howard is a free agent. I definitely think Kelly and Lechler should restructure. If they do, it will save about $8 mil just with those two.
Eugene could be cut, but the Raiders need FS not get rid of them. If they can upgrade, I am all for them cutting Hiram.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.

I like Checkwa at the FS position.
According to my ohio state friend, he would be better fit at FS, due to his vision and toughness (can also move in at slot CB too).

Yes and no. We know who needs to be cut
but as for others, restructuring will be cool, but we’ll need to keep the starters. Eugene and Kelly aren’t going anywhere.

We're not cutting Dick Hands.
He’s still Al’s boy, and he’s gonna get another year. I can definitely see the big man asking him to restructure his contract though.
