Miller, Cromartie, and the Raiders
We are on top of most raider related news and rumors here at Silver and Black Pride(The PFT of Oakland?) But just wanted to throw a few thoughts out here that hasnt really been mentioned much recently. The Raiders are currently in pursuit of Cromartie, with the Jets also trying to retain his services. According to Raider Personel(As obtained from Steve Corkran) they have serious interest in him, but are not willing to break the bank on him. A matter of bad timing with the nnamdi to the eagles deal still fresh. It has been VERY quite on the Miller front. Todd Heap joined the Cardnials and other smaller name TEs have been signed already also. What does it all mean? Wimbley is the key to the whole thing. Once the raiders finally strike a deal with him via long term contract, will free up a lot of money in the cap. Maybe a restructered contract or 2 also and we can get Miller signed and MAYBE Cromartie. For our WLB need, maybe we can take a look at Lofa Tatupu who will be released by the Seahawks soon. Also heard we're thinking about bringing back Captain Kirk for a look at WLB also, but nothing immenent. Looking forward to the rest of free agency and see you all soon at the cards preseason game.

Let's hope Al's lawyers are working today to get Wimbley's deal finalized and Zach signed for at least 4 years
To hell with Cromartie; Al’s probably messing with Ryan & Co just for kicks.

I dont know
what the raiders true intent with cromartie is, but this is starting to pick up though, besides la confora and other “insiders” PFT is reporting the story now too. If its just a ploy to spite the Jets, their doing a great job. NFL Network said cromartie might be signed by the end of the day though, so we’ll know soon enough.
for all i care
I just want zach back if we can get him we are cool, i mean we have depth at the CB position but i know they are rookies so getting cromartie would be good but its not as important as getting Zach Miller.
Sign Miller
any female free agent CBs on the market? they’d be tougher than Cro.

never followed him much
He was great when he first got to seattle. His games been off the last 2 seasons and didnt want to take a pay cut. It was a “mutural parting” according to a seahawks front office member. I do know he’s a former USC player, and thats always a bonus in Al’s eyes, so it may be worth a look atleast, he has done well in a 4-3 defence(seahawks superbowl run?) and a change of scenary is sometimes all a player needs,
