Welcome to the sixth edition of the NFL lockout resolution day prediction poll. The first four weeks saw predictions grow increasingly more optimistic. We started polling right after the owners and players began to secretly meet. Last week, the predictions actually saw a slight drop off. But that is not too surprising given that the week before 75 percent of us said the lockout would end in July.
Shockingly two percent still voted for June, and given that there was about 30 hours of June left at the time of the poll's release, I think that it is safe to say the two percent of us are overbearingly optimistic and/or non-serious poll takers. I am not sure which the bigger offense is.
Anyway, since the results have grown somewhat redundant and boring, and no news has dropped to lead us to believe that July is still not a viable option, I am going to shake it up by breaking up the choices for July.
