I have never heard such inspirational quotes from a coach who hasn't even coached his first game yet. Seriously, this guy could run for President! I don't even think Rex Ryan even talked so much before he coached his first game. That is somebody who challenged a starting middle linebacker to a fist fight! The quotes from Michael Silver's article make even me want to go out and punch somebody in the mouth! I am going to start calling him Hue "Big Stick" Jackson. It is probably a good thing he doesn't literally carry a big stick with him though, because with that much fire in him there is little doubt he would club somebody with it!
Hue "Big Stick:" Jackson has gone around talking more shit than Cashes Clay! Well ok, he is not quite to that level yet but I for one will not count anything out. I love that he is going around and talking all this shit. I don't know how somebody can talk SO MUCH and still actually be respectful. It is a true art and Hue is the best of the best at it. This guy is the Rembrandt of shit talking.
After all his quotes this offseason I am more excited than I have been since our last Super Bowl. I can't wait to see what this team is going to do. Hue is exactly the kind of coach that wins with Oakland. I love that when people tell him he is a job jumping opportunist that he retorts with the most logical explanation imaginable. He took so many jobs so that he could learn everything he needed to know to be the best head coach he could be. That type of logic is what makes a great head coach, and trust me, if Hue wins he will be considered one of the greats.
I also love that he tried to convince Al to hire him a few years back. Even after it didn't work he still came here as the OC. He wanted to be in Oakland. He is a natural born Raider. I love that he is able to walk that fine line between ass kicking and ass kissing. The quote where he said when Al is wrong he is wrong and then follows it up with pure flattery is brilliant. That is the blueprint of how to tell somebody with an Ego like Al's that they are wrong. You have to do both get your point across, and still not deflate the ego. When that ego feels some air being let out it gets the air pump out and doubles the pressure. You have to make sure to plug the hole before they notice anything escaped.
Hue is handling the tight rope walk of working for Al Davis perfectly so far, as long as he wins. Go on "Big Stick", keep talking shit. As long as you win I am fine with it. You can talk more shit than Rex Ryan if you want, as long as when the regular season comes to an end we still have something to play for!
